Harper, Wiley, Purifoy, Samir, Mac, javon, and probably Chuma for half the year. This team will be great again next year.

Yes but this year was magic. I don’t know if we can make it back again.

I definitely think we can make it back.

It had nothing to do with magic. We beat the hell out of most of the teams at the end. This team was just made for tournament play. Assuming Harper comes back, the same can be said about next year’s team.

You gotta hit your stride at the right time. That’s the hardest thing to do. Even with this run we lost Chuma. We win that game 100% with Chuma. Gonna be tough for it all to work out right.

I’m not saying we are for sure back in the final four, but to think this was some year of magic is not even close to accurate. It wasn’t like every game was a buzzer beater. We will have to hit our stride again, but we should be really dangerous next year.

We won it without him.

Agreed...we actually could be more talented in future years but this team had a heart that was special. That isn't always transferable.

The road won't always be filled with Kansas, UNC, and UK. That isn't saying it'll be easy...I never believed I'd see one Final Four in my life, so I won't say we'll never be back.

Hurts so damn much though.

Yeah I know. We’d be playing Monday night if we had him too. My point is that a lot needs to go right besides having a good team, which we’re gonna have as long as Pearl is here.

Not me. Working the refs and fouls is more of a strategy in basketball than football and it's annoying as frick.

Basketball is fun to watch, don't get me wrong, but I much prefer baseball and football.

ESPN's headline LINK

Disputed whistle on 3 lifts Virginia in wild finish

[And towards the bottom...]

Auburn fans, however, were irate.

Auburn assistant coach Steven Pearl, son of head coach Bruce Pearl, ran part of the way across the court after the buzzer, shouting at the officials before departing. The officials soon sprinted off to the tunnel for their exit amid a few obscene gestures and insults hurled their way from the nearby Auburn student section, where shock had given way to fury.

Police escorted away a few of the most unruly fans.

The scene inside U.S. Bank Stadium was quite a bit different from the one on the Auburn campus, where a number of fans celebrated at Toomers Corner before realizing the game wasn't over.

We're going to miss Bryce's defense and hot shooting. Here's to hoping someone will step up.

Maybe they will be back, but the odds are heavy against it. So much has to happen just right and have to stay healthy. The roster will be different and who knows what the chemistry will be like.

That’s what makes this loss so crushing, it’s pretty damn likely this won’t happen again in our lifetimes.
