I mean the 5 turnovers thing has happened twice now, and Hugh’s QBs always rack up the INTs.

If my bend but don’t break defense was getting run ragged for 80 plays a game in part because my QB threw the ball to the other team on 15% of his throws, I’d simply run the ball more to increase the chances of my team winning the game.

Both Cal and Arky games were 24-10 or so type wins if we committed to the run. I’m not a “run the damn ball” type fan, we could run the air raid for all I care, but you’ve gotta game plan to your strengths and we haven’t done that.

132 Auburn 4 116 8

He's wrong.

AU is 27th total offense (all games) and 48th total offense vs. P4.

Not bad, but not great.

Wait I was wrong.

Ferg was sorting by yards per play. If you do that, then yes AU is 6th. I was sorting by yards per game.

It’s not, though. Insane number of turnovers without being blown out implies you can move the ball.

All I know is we are 2-2 and let two games go because of big errors and some undisciplined play with bad penalties keeping us on the field.

The only stat that really matters is points scored vs points allowed. It gives me the sads. Our D was on the field over 10 minutes in the first quarter alone and only had the ball 20 minutes over the next three quarters and 61-62 plays. Arghhhh

Obviously to Hugh’s point 5 turnovers are the big killers with one being near the goal line. It comes down to coaching and effort from the players.
The play calls still put us into a position to win. Fix it Hugh and staff and Hugh you’re supposed to be the QB whisperer.

I would rather be first in points than yards per game. If we gain 500 yards per game and score 10 points it doesn't help much

Its basically what we already know as long as you are being objectionable about it and not emotional.

There are been improvement on the team from last year.. Run game is better, OL is better, WRs are better.. but we turn the ball over an at insane rate and can't get off the field on 3rd downs. We made a mistake not bringing in another QB, which would have helped some. It is what it is. At some point you just hope the turnovers come down and those stats start showing up as W's
