Yep. There are people who need to isolate themselves at the moment.

Everybody needs to take this seriously, if not for yourself...do it for your loved ones/your neighbors/people you don't even know. The Govt. is asking fortune 500 companies, who are open to the public daily, to shut down for now. This is a huge warning sign. A lot of people aren't at risk if infected. A lot are.

What? I simply offered a differing opinion on a post made by gene void of calling him any names or making it personal.

Instead of him having a discussion he jumps to a stupid and lame attack. You can address him.

Feel free to point out where I wasn’t being civil?

I don’t have a problem at all with people being concerned and taking precautions. I don’t like the “morons” who are in full panic mode causing more problems than necessary. Acting a fool is not going to help anyone during this outbreak.

I will still take a moron who gene describes and hasn’t happened yet vs the morons overreacting today causing real problems in society. How is that take being uncivil Ross?

I think people should take it seriously but he isn’t wrong about people shouldn’t be panicking either and beating on others to get a case of water or another item.

Come down from your ivory tower, Lanier. Bud Ice is a crowd pleaser in rural Alabama. If you ignore the taste, the price to alcohol volume ratio is probably unbeatable.

I meant no offense to you personally; saw the snowflake jab or GC and wanted to say something in general.

Panic buy with them or weather the storm. Alabama panic buys over a fricking snowflake. You can’t control how people are going to react.

I think I am qualified to make fun of their taste in beer. My taste in Beer here has been greatly made fun of here on this board.

Though my beer intake is a very very small amount.

I thought you were referring to people trying to follow CDC advisement to social distance / reasonable precautions since I had not seen extreme panic buying at the time.

W the panic buying hysteria, I now concede to Rocky that people buying a year supply of toilet paper over this are probably worse. If we don't have toilet paper supply in a year, we got bigger problems

I think one problem is some parts of the government are preventing natural selection.

I was in Publix today at 7 and the only meat available was chicken gizzards, beef roasts, and chorizo sausage. I wanted to grill burgers for lunch...

When you think about, everything we’re doing to slow/stop the spread of Coronavirus is a slap in the face to natural selection.

When the NBA suspended the season we went out to the local asian supermarket (we never go there by the way, just knew it wouldn’t be busy ) and grabbed two weeks of stuff. No TP it’s about the only thing we keep in bulk. Buy it twice a year. We typically get groceries every 3-4 days so we’re almost always out of everything.

And I’ll admit that even though it was a calm experience in a nearly empty store, it felt ridiculous and panicky.
