The second Louis got the tipped ball against UGA, it was loud. But there was a sense of "its over" in the crowd at that game. I think there was a sense of "pissed off" at that point as well. We had dominated them for 3 quarters and to be honest, I never thought they would come back. I give Murray all the credit. We were pounding them and they had quit. Then we let them back in and you could just see it happening. Then the miracle. A lot of people had given up.

Nobody had given up at the Bama game. Everyone was on egg shells most of the game and neither team was ever out of it or really down. The the whole 1 second thing happened and people were obviously upset so the run back was a punch in the gut to getting the second added back on.

Totally agree with the above, especially the Prayer in Jordan-Hare. Of course it all worked out, but I still maintain that Murray's knew WAS down.

I remember the last quarter or so of UGA 2004 being so loud it hurt my ears (my wife had to scream in my ear to try to tell me something...I could barely hear her voice and could not understand what she was saying). Of course, a lot depends on where you're sitting (we were home side, lower level, corner end zone that day).

The 1989 game was the most electric and I'm seriously not sure any sporting event in the U.S. has ever had the kind of sustained roar of that day for the 6 hours from tiger walk until the end. Hell, we had players that needed medical attention from hyperventilating hours before the game even started. That tiger walk was just beyond anything I've ever seen.

It was the single event that cemented me going to Auburn.

True story: My brother and I went down to the game with some friends in their RV. We didn't have tickets and for poor high school kids there was no way we could afford them. We were camped out in front of the TV when a guy walked in and asked us if we were going to the game. We said no and were just going to watch it on TV. About 20 mins before kick off, the same guy walks back in and hands me and my brother tickets to the game. To this day, I don't know who he was. My brother and I both graduated Auburn and that kind man that went out of his way for two kids is the reason why.

My wife was behind home plate about 15 rows up when Sid Bream scored the magic run for the braves. She was also at the Bama game. She said the noise level at the braves game was laughable compared to the Davis run back.

We have been to a lot of games. Some big games with big moments. That was a loud arse stadium for a very long time..

Thank you Chris Davis

The cam back was amazing to see live. So loud during the first half you couldn't hear yourself think. Second half was super quiet.

The loudest games at JH
kick six

For instant decibels, the Kick Six followed by the Miracle followed by the Florida Blocked Punt followed by the McCalebb Run to Victory vs. LSU.

For consistent decibels over the entire game, easily The First Time at Jordan-Hare.

I still think the Tee Smith blocked punt TD is still the single loudest moment I've witnessed in Jordan Hare if measured in pure SPL. I've seen every big moment in JHS since 1994.

Georgia 2013 game was definitely close to the Kick Six if not louder.

UGA was very loud, mainly because at the time, the game seemed almost 100% lost. The atmosphere was very down as if everyone expected a loss. When Louis caught the ball it was extremely loud for a short time then quieted down fairly quickly.

In the Bama game, the expectation at that point was that we were going to overtime. Because the momentum was going in our favor the crowd was optimistic. When Davis ran it back it took everyone by surprise so it took a while for it to sink in, but once it got loud it stayed loud until you left the stadium.

Motherfricking THIS. I was at the game, low down in that endzone. We were off to the side so I saw it. Up close and personal. fricking Murray did NOT score. But whatever. it worked out.

What I remember most was that when Marshall threw the Hail Mary, it was away from us toward the south endzone. We really couldnt see what was happening then the whole stadium exploded.

I wish we had the Aubietron that night. Woulda been good to see that when it happened!!!

Didnt stop me from getting seriously loaded up that night.

I was in Auburn for the Bama game, but did not have tickets. I went down just because. I had the feeling.

I partied with relatives and had a great tailgate,we had a big screen set up and all. I was there with one other Aubie after the folks with tickets left. 2 of us and one girl we didnt know who was for bama. She was a friend of a friend and got left with us.

When the kick six happened, we heard an explosion from the stadium, then 7 seconds later or so, we could hear people like us at tailgates going apeshit. Then we saw it. Holy frick. Was surreal.

Girl damn near killed herself because me and the other AU homie were going knuts. Then it snowed like 10 inches of toilet paper all over Auburn. One of the more amazing experiences of my life. truly

89 iron bowl is the loudest game I've ever been to

Me too. Was incredible. 83 Iron Bowl at Legion Field was amazing too, but not like 89. 89 is special. No way in HELL was AU going to lose that game. Everybody including Alabama knew it.

Sort of like when we played Syracuse in the Carrier Dome after 9/11. I felt like we were fricked to start with and somehow I was ok with that.

The split second change from gasping to screaming was unreal at UGa.

A ton of people at the IB didn't even understand wtf happened even as they were rushing the field

ETA: more AU fans at uga game than Iron Bowl too

Probably a wash. Lots of UGA fans always show up as well.

In the UGA game in 2010, there was more boo'ing than anything.

It was loud when they announced Cam as the starter but the stadium was only half full.

The Sammie Coates TD with :33 left in the 2013 Iron Bowl was louder than the Kick Six IMO. It was like someone cracked a whip on my ear drum. The Kick Six took a few seconds to develop, but right when Sammie Caught the ball everyone ejaculated at the same time.
