Every family is made up of people with individual thoughts and at times family members disagree. Families also love and support each other despite those disagreements. Through sport, there is an opportunity to acknowledge differing points of view and unite for a greater purpose," director of athletics Allen Greene said. "The Auburn Unity Symbol represents the oneness we seek to instill in our teams and throughout our community. I applaud the leadership of our coaches, staff and student-athletes for their efforts. Lastly, I encourage the Auburn Family to embrace what makes us unique and enthusiastically support Together We Will."

Best I recall Auburn was already "together" and did not have many "diversity issues" that I can recall.

It's pandering. Otherwise this stuff would have been on the field 10 years ago.

Clearly you've been living in a bubble well before the pandemic. Party on Garth!!

I just think we’re past that point. And since we are, I’d rather it be Auburn’s message and symbol

I'm on board with that and I think Greene articulated the purpose of the symbol well.

Politics has sucked the fun out of sports for me altogether. From college football to the Auburn Forum to the NFL. Never in my life will I be so happy for Nov 4th and all this shite goes away.

s a pretty even message that highlights and embraces our differences in support of one another. Really hope people actually look into it instead of applying their own bullshite to it.

Let me get this straight, we can’t have political discussions on this board, but we’re cool with it being spray painted on the field?

My oh my.

Would AU be painting that shite on the field if BLM didn’t destroy cities? No.

“Unity” on the field is submitting and pandering to BLM.
