Running game today I blame on OL much more than sacks. They share some blame on sacks but Jackson is far more responsible. We did not have many sacks that’s wouldn’t be ruled “coverage” sacks normally.

Cobbs big run was 44 yards. He had a total of 61 for the game. Without that one run he had 5 carries for 17 yards. Alston went 7 for 25 yards.

As a team, just for the RBs, 13 carries for 86 yards. Without Cobbs one long run we have 12 carries for 42 yards and 3.5 yards per rush. Not terrible, but not good either.

Anyone have yards before contact numbers?

Bottom line is this team sucks and it's going to be another 6-6 season. Not even sure how people who have season tickets tolerate it.

76 double teaming the tackle with lew and leaving a lb free is odd tho. Can't imagine it's coached like that.

but 10 sacks pretty much says the QB didn’t have much time to throw it either.

No it doesn't. Not when the QB is sitting there 5-6 seconds. McElroy literally showed the time Arnold had the pocket in the first half when he was getting sacked or running for a loss, and it was basically 5 seconds or more almost every time. I can only think of maybe 2-3 sacks where Arnold wasn't sitting in the pocket for almost five seconds or more.

Time in the pocket was not his issue. Now if we want to ask why we weren't attacking the middle when it was wide open half the game, yeah...

Ill give them one more week to at least show improvement. But granted I am a lil more optimistic and tolerant than most.

would call for more hot read routes.

Go look at the safety sack. Literally the RT got bull rushed and thrown around like a rag doll with quickness.

Yeah, but that was one of like two sacks I can think of where Arnold legit didn't have 4 seconds or more to throw.

Your call for more hot reads is definitely legit though. Our route trees continue to suck arse. And I don't see that getting fixed under Freeze at this point.

Yeah I watched it. Replied to my post with a lil more commentary on the play.

Chaplin should have to give back 25k per penalty/sack. After sitting with the fact you just shite away 125k he'll either straighten up or quit.

Especially sucks with him bc with Percy it was like OK we're getting a guy that started in the sec. But with chaplin we were sold an nfl draft pick.

Two options on that missed call. Holding or pass interference. Call made by the Field Judge or Side Judge. Back Judge out of position and directly involved in the play.
