Just want to put it out there that the Utah Jazz drafted Karl Malone...

Lol a downvote for pointing out an Auburn player did something a HOFer didnt?

Walker Kessler last night: 7 points, 18 rebounds, 7 blocks, 3/4

He scored the game tying bucket with 4.6 seconds left, and then blocked a shot as time expired to take it to OT where the Jazz won by 1

Walker is now 1/1 from 3 in his NBA career

He's also climbed up the NBA 2k23 ratings to 81 overall from where he started at 70 ovr. Second highest rated rookie behind Banchero who is 84 ovr. (Jabari still at 77 where he started)

Good stuff. Jabari is really struggling tho..

Okoro is having a decent year. Shooting it pretty well and starting on a contender

Jabari is having good games, he's struggling with consistency for sure though. He isn't shooting with the confidence he did last year at Auburn. He needs to start attacking the rim more instead of settling for contested pull up jumpers and fade aways

Smith needed to attack the basket and drive more when he was at Auburn as well. That really needs to be a focus if he is going to be a top NBA player.

I should’ve clarified and said 20 points with 10 rebounds

Not sure whether or not anyone else has done it with assists

Kessler with a block at the buzzer to seal a 19 point comeback win for the Jazz last night:

LINK

He ended the game with 12 points, 14 rebounds, and 3 blocks, and broke one of Shaq’s rookie records:

quote:

Walker Kessler records his 11th double-double w/ 3+ blocks this season. That’s third most in the NBA and more than twice as many as all other rookies combined. It’s his ninth 3+ block double-double with 70%+ shooting, passing Shaq for most such games by any rookie in NBA history.

JT Thor still hanging in there makes me think there is some buy in from the hornets organization. Think he is still only 20

Crazy how fun it is having actual guys in the NBA now. I really enjoy checking the box scores most nights and seeing how the former Tigers do. Will try to post more highlights, etc. going forward.
