Been playing since 2K14, not really goated at it but I'm p decent
My speciality is MyCareer, not too good at anything else, especially building a squad
Got 2K23 last week, what about you?

I’m a long time gamer but have been cut off cold turkey with three young ones. Miss 2K!

I mostly do MyPlayer and play games with randoms in The Rec
Been running with a center build the last 2 years after getting tired of shitty play by the bigs I’d get teamed up with. Glass cleaning finishing build, averaging 13.5 ppg, 14+ rpg, 4 apg in Rec so far in season 2
Had 2k23 preordered so I’ve been playing since launch, although I’m still on Xbox One

Guessing every other big tries to be a stretch 5?
Posted on 10/28/22 at 7:03 pm to auburnnyc94
Yeah, everybody wants to shoot 3s even though shooting is actually harder on this years game
The meta this year is to make your build 6’9”, no matter if you’re playing 5 or 1, bc that height give you the ability to unlock the widest variety of animations. But even when I do get matched up with a center who’s maxed their height and wingspan (7’3” and 8’1”), half the time they still made their dude a stretch and they sacrifice things like strength, rebounding, interior defense in order to have enough attribute points to be able to have a good 3 pt shot. So I still end up bullying most of my matchups in the paint
My build in 7’0”, the only thing I regret about it is that I forgot to change the wingspan, so it’s 7’5” when it could’ve been 7’10”. It’d help me get a few more rebounds and, but I still get plenty and it’s a damn fun build

I see Chuma and Okoro both making a quick exit from the league absent a quick turnaround of production. I'm shocked at how bad Okoro is statistically. His game has always been about being exceptional on defense which doesn't really show much in stats but he's looking really bad.

Kessler has been out sick for a couple of games.
Jabari kind of struggling but a lot is being asked of him early. He'll be fine.
Okeke has had a nice resurgence the last couple of games in a bigger role.
10 points, 6 boards, 2 assists and a steal vs Hornets in 29 minutes
5 points, 8 rebounds, and 3 assists vs Mavs in 25 minutes

Another great night for Chuma. 16 points in only 7 FGA in 27 minutes. Also was heavily involved in the final play holding on to beat the defending champs guarding Klay to start and switching onto Steph. Added 9 rebounds and 3 assists!

Chuma started in place of the banged Paolo last night and had a solid showing. 8 points and 7 boards.
Kessler returned home (@ATL) and scored 12 points on 6-6 shooting. Added a couple of blocks.
Jabari had another tough night shooting but had a double-double.
Thor and Okoro did next to nothing in limited time last night.

I appreciate you posting this. I hope it gets a stickie. Jones, do your magic hermano.
On Kessler and the Jazz, Will Hardy's bench rotations are really weird. Some nights Kessler plays 20+ minutes and others he plays 2. I don't think I've seen anything like it, but the Jazz are 9-3 with a bunch of role players so not complaining.

I’m not watching the games, but it may have to do with matchups… smaller lineups will make playing Kessler hard, esp when the Jazz already have a bunch of size.
The jazz are a nice surprise this year… lot of people thought they might tank for the French guy after trading Rudy and Mitchell.

Don’t know if anyone is paying attention, but Sharife Cooper is going the frick off in the G League as of late.

Not like this.. key difference he is shooting the absolute lights out from 3. He’s probably the best player in the G League right now. Starting to think he’s gonna be what we all thought he might..

Bumping this thread back up just to say -
Jabari had a monster game a few days ago against the Mavs: 24 points, 10-17 FG, 3-8 from 3, 10 rebounds, 3 assists and 1 block.
