Why is tackling so bad across the board?
Its noticeable with all teams isnt it.
Couple of thoughts, one I think the NCAA now limits the number of full contact practices you can have.
Second, in the case of the Georgia's of the world, you now have an 83 game schedule to get to the championship so you really have to be careful in practices.

Yes not exactly sure of the new rules but you can’t “hit” on consecutive days or something like that

Thorne is our best option at QB if we want to win.

Agree. You have to start Thorne at UGA. This isn't the game to trot out an inexperienced qb and break what is left of his confidence. We have a bye week coming up. If a change needs to be made that's the time to do it.

I'd just say as soon as he gets those scared rabbit eyes jumping around, it's time to put in anyone else.

Let me guess ... theyre going to be " ruined".
Yeah, I really hate this line of thinking. Bo Nix started as a true freshman, and he wasn't ruined, despite everything that went on him. Jason Campbell wasn't ruined, either. If you don't have the mental toughness to fail, learn, and try again, you probably can't be a QB in this league, period.

I said you ride the hot hand and rn PT is still the hot hand. He played the game of his career outside of the pick six. Seems like maybe there's a chance a 5th year senior can develop. Seasons in the shitter. Hank's not the future. Give PT the chance to prove you right til he proves you wrong. The ceiling is he grows on the improvements he made last week, no turnovers against UGA and has a good game where the offense puts up 24 in a close loss, then the possibility of us winning out minus bama and maybe mizzou. That puts us at 7-5/6-6 and making a bowl. Considering everybody's talking 3-9/4-8 as best case scenario rn, that sounds like mf heaven rn. Vibes would be high, recruits and portal quarterbacks would be like look what Hugh did to PT. That is massive upside and there's a whole lotta negas that will be believing again.
The floor is he's same ole PT and he turns the ball over three times in the first half and you go back to Hank. Same scenario above is still possible but it seems less likely. He's a 3 star true freshman. The odds he has what it takes to start in the SEC are just astronomically low. Like it or not but those 5 years experience PT has on him probably matter. I can gaslight and tell myself that he's on the roster for a reason, bc Hugh knows QBs and that's his boy, but most of us know it's just bc it was we needed a qb and it was way too late on the top guys. Buttttt I'm not saying it's not possible. If he comes in and moves the ball where PT couldn't, you go with him til he gives you a reason not to.
What if we changed qbs every turnover lmao. Hugh doesn't have the balls.... does he?

We have better chances with the wildcat.
And we have no chance with the wildcat.

I’m glad we refer to him as “Throne.”
