Looks like we may have missed on Lebby as OC.

Ole Piss just renewed his contract.

That article is all about how players perform at the combine. By your same logic you’d rather have Russell than bama or UGA’s? This is such a weird melt, even for this board

It’s like he completely skipped over the paragraph that said “yo actually this whole thing is a crapshoot but screw it, we’re writing this article anyway”

“It’s the perfect set up. And you can read someone’s comment and usually the first one is negative. That’s just how people are. Especially the twitiots. You used to have be somebody to have an opinion. Which meant you had to work your way into a position where your opinion actually matters”

It seems like your conclusion is he hired bad coaches at Boise. If that was the case we are screwed. How about trying he is a good coach that already has good coaches and why not bring them along? Do you like the OL coaches we have had the last five years? I’ll take the Boise guy...

Cannot be any worse than what we've been working with.

You forget natural talent. AU has access to more elite athletes than Boise, so of course AU will perform better at the combine.

Their offensive line coach would actually be a great hire. He played alot of years in the NFL as a offensive lineman himself.

Yeah I am not opposed to it. Any time you have a guy who played the position in the league, he can't be bad.

At Auburn, Ryan Russell has trained the most above average NFL athletes in the conference with 24.

He'll get a job in a heartbeat then, maybe even within the SEC

You're all right, I over reacted. Big picture is he is choosing HIS staff, that's never been allowed to happen, at least not in decades.

Now we need OLs to get coached up, both of those are things the previous staff apparently overlooked

I wouldn't mind Jim Leavitt as a Def Cord. He's at Fla Atlantic at the moment so I'm sure he would jump at the opportunity.

From a coaching standpoint, he’d be a solid hire. But we still need some strong recruiters on this staff. Leavitt obviously knows Florida but I otherwise know nothing about his recruiting chops. I do know the only reason he was fired from USF was from some scuttle butt with a player. I don’t know how that would play out with recruits!

He built a program from literally nothing into a success considering they started from not existing almost right in the middle of Miami and Florida
