I want Prime, but Kiffen would be a great hire.

This illustrates my point. Most everybody has someone in mind but the closest thing to consensus is Kiffin so let's start there and exhaust all options until he says 'no'. We need a homerun hire, and he's as close as there is. The guy can flat out coach, runs an offense kids want to play in, and he can evaluate talent-to-task...something Harsin just cannot seem to do. Let's go get that fricker or die trying.

I’ll be happy with Kiffin, Freeze, Deion, M Stoops, Aranda, or Grimes.

We need a president, AD, and Good Ole Boy to unite the clans and get on the same page. Then AU wins. That's what Bobby Lowder & James Martin did in '81.

Lane Kiffin
Dave Aranda
Matt Rhule

Make one of them happen and I guarantee you could get at least 90% of people behind it.

I'm on the Lane Train. But if we steal another coach from them, gonna need extra security around the trees for a while. We don't need another Update.

They don’t care enough to do anything.

I just started thinking about Lane as HC and giving him the resources to hire a top tier DC. That is an appetizing combo, my friends.

Hugh Freeze IMO.

Kiffen has articles written on him like Harsin on recruiting and Mississippi coaches. One was something like, "Kiffen never visits, and when he does he thinks he can roll out an Ole Miss football and be done with everything." Not an exact quote but you can easily search what I'm saying.

Hugh Freeze for me. Get the President, AD, Trustees, and the Yella posse aligned and lets ride.

That’s my drawback with Kiffin, which is surprising because he tore it up recruiting under sanctions at USCheat.

I have said at the end of the whole thing the hire will be very underwhelming and we will all be bitching for a new coach in two to three years. Rinse/repeat

The fact is there really isn't anyone, atleast at face value that matches Saban at the time he was hired. I know it's too soon to say but LSU's hire with Kelley doesn't seem very intriguing right now. The brinks truck idea may not be the way. There needs to be some real soul searching on the plains. Hopefully people have been humbled by the Harsin experience.

There’s only one coach available right now that is sure fire worth the bank, Urban Meyer. He might be a terrible human being, but so is Saban. And I don’t hear any complaints from uat fans. Other than Meyer, you’re taking a big risk in locking someone in to a ridiculous contract.

In England they refer to the devil as "Old Nick."
