I've got Feb. 17 UK at home circled on the calendar.
It might take 100 for either team to win that game.

I agree with 15-3 to win it outright, although a 2-3 way tie at 14-4 or 13-5 wouldn't be a surprise.

You'd about have to think we'd be ranked in the next AP. We were #26 in the one released 12/26

I think Aden is really good, but he is not NBA ready.

Any chance we get 2 or even 3 years of AH at AU as PG?

Agreed. I think we get 2 years. He needs to take advantage of the weight training plus the play is a higher level in college then G league. As far as preparing game in and game out with game plans

This is one thing I think the NIL might really help with-keeping these skilled, but undersized/underdeveloped guys in college for an extra year or two instead of dipping as soon as they can just because they need the money. Obviously if someone is a first round level prospect it won’t matter, but I’m hoping to see less of the more marginal guys skip out after super brief college careers.

Game day my fellow Tiger fans! Last one before the familiar foes of the conference. Would like to see a comfortable double digit win tonight, just enough to keep them humble and hungry before Arky.

What's the outlook for our first 5?
1. Arky will be tough in Bud Walton so a loss wouldn't bother me (as long as it's not a blowout).
2. A&M at home really needs to be a win but it's not a guarantee against Buzz. The home court advantage needs to be exploited.
3. LSU at home should be no worry.
4. Vandy away will be miserable as usual because of that terrible gym. Should still be a win for this team.
5. Ole Miss at home. I really hope this one is a beat down of epic proportions, no homecoming for Flanigan.

5-0 start would be incredible, 4-1 would be nice, 3-2 could be acceptable...anything less is not ideal.

I agree with that outlook. 4-1 start will tell me we will be a contender in the league. 3-2 will make it tough sledding out of the gate.

Still a lot to find out about this team. Honestly not sure what our weaknesses are right now but they will be exposed. Coming into the season defensive rebounding and perimeter defense were questions. Neither have been an issue yet but particularly rebounding will be an issue in certain matchups for sure.

I still think on ball defense is a problem. Still think on the dribble drive we foul to much against bigger athletic guards. Broome gets lost against quality big men, he’s dominate against shorter bigs but athletic tall bigs are a nightmare for him.

Season overall as scary as it seems will depend on how far JayWill takes us. If he’s a 14-18 point a game guy we can go far. If he disappears for games at a time it’ll be all up to our defense once again

School me on Arky.

I know it's a tough at home. Just thought they'd been under performing so far and not handling the ball very well?

(haven't watched any - just from a little press)

Seems like it's been a pattern for them under Muss to struggle a little early. Makes sense because they have a lot of roster turnover every year.

They have also had some injury issues so far this season.

Their roster is filled with long, rangy athletes.. the type that has given Pearl teams issues in the past. Their lead guard is also Tramon Mark who effectively ended our season last year when he was at Houston. We could not stop him.

They aren't playing great ball right now so it's a great time to get them. I suspect they will be a handful come March.

Thanks - they read as if not gelling nor quite up to their standard.

Yeah it seems like as long as Muss is there that you want to catch them early, same with A&M and buzz. By the end of the year both usually figure things out and are hell. But Buzz just has Bruce's number so we will see how we do.
