This is the biggest melt of them all. You can act like you’re laughing but your true emotions come across in the OP

Clemson is Auburn, with a lake. They have no problem recruiting. Or play calling. Or player development.

We meanwhile are 51-30 since 2014.

I think that means at some point we need to accept 2013 was really about Nick Marshall and Tre Mason, not Gus. And after 8 seasons it is apparent 2013 really was a one year flash in the pan.

Bitching about Gus isn't going to do a damn thing. We are stuck with him for the next couple of seasons because of that ridiculous buyout. I am stunned people are shocked by yesterday. Yes it was ugly, but is that any different than playing just well enough to lose? (which is usually what a Gus team does on the road against a quality opponent)

I live in Georgia. I am never stunned by Gus coaching from the fetal position against Georgia. Or LSU. Or any bowl game.

You are not objective about Gus. It's fine that you like him, but the points you make in his defense are very weak and representative of a mindset that Auburn should be happy being an 8-5/9-4 program.

I have never at any point said anyone should be happy with a 8-5 record. And I know you and a few others think my argument is always about defending Gus and it s not. It more about disputing things that are blamed on him that are "contradictive". Last week, everyone was high on what Chad Morris is doing with the offense. Today, fire Gus because the offense looked like shite. Same with the defense. I think you get my point.

We just want to be consistently competitive with our rivals and we aren't

I think every program wants that. One issue that you have to accept right now is that all Auburns rivals are pretty good at football right now. Alabama and Georgia are both constant top 5 programs and LSU just came off its 3rd natty in 20 years. They are some of the best programs in the nation.

Like it or not, Auburn is not, has never been and probably wont ever be a consistent top 5 program unless the University of Alabama shuts down. Im not talking about what we want or what should be worked toward. Im talking about what is real.

The entire team played like shite yesterday and was not prepared. That is on the head coach and it always will be. It is his responsibility. But some of the issues that have been laid out over the past few years here are just silly. And I know some of you love the mob mentality but there needs to be someone here who is willing to call you out on it when you go overboard.

What fun would it be if there wasnt?

I saw them play at Cobb Energy a few years ago. If I closed my eyes I didn’t know the difference. They did have a lot of cool stage things going on too!

Yea, our tickets are still good for this year. We did not get our money back.

2018 was the 40 year tribute to The Wall. 2019 was called "Echoes" before they cancelled it. I am not sure if they will change the theme since they basically cancelled the entire year.

There is usually a big mix of music from all the albums but each year has had some kind of "theme" In 2016 they pulled albums from a stand and used them on the screen to show what was coming. I thought that was the best graphics they have done

Anytime they play in Atlanta, we go.

I have basically been all over the country to see them. A few years back, the wife and I flew out to Red Rocks to see them, saw then in Nashville, Clearwater, Birmingham and Knoxville as well.

He needs the running QB and its very obvious. And its not about me "wanting Auburn to keep him" This is where a lot of you make your own connections. I have said that they should have gotten rid of him last year due to the fanbase.

The fanbase didn’t randomly start rallying against him. Many of the fans have wondered why he left a running QB, and have grown frustrated. Gus decided to abandon a running QB.

And yesterday was a shite show. We’re not 20 points worse talent wise than UGA. We’re just not.

And it is MOST evident in the OL. We never could get much pressure on the GA QB, and our OL could not hold off their strong defensive pressure.

Once we couldn't get them off the field, and the lead grew to over 3 TDs, we didn't have a chance and neither did Bo. No way we can pass the ball that much so far behind.

and as for Gus, I agree 2021 is the year, when the buyout is under 20m, and if Gus doesn't beat GA at home, then its all over i think for Gus.

He has treaded water w his wins against Bama, but he can't go on with such bad records against LSU and GA.

Its bad enough we lose at least every other year to Bama, but to win the West to have a chance at the playoffs, we HAVE to beat GA and LSU more consistently.

That will be Gus downfall, not his record against Bama, and that is what is surprising in the end.

Today for us feels just like UGA felt the first time we played in 2017. We whipped their asses in the trenches and the same happened to us yesterday. Who knows we may get a payback opportunity. I doubt it but stranger things have happened. 1 week at a time boys. Let’s get better.

The only reason it was not a bigger blow out is Kirby didn’t want it to be. They could have easily scored again.

Yesterday was the worst we have looked in a long time up front.

Two losses:
Fairhope 10u to big D
AU v uGa

Both stung, but little kids have no idea what is going on.

Opening kick, fake onsides w/ 2 kickers, and uGa, brings it out to about the 45. Kicker can kick TB's. The game was over before the "fake" whistle.

AU, that was ugly. Plays did not match down and distance. uGa tailbacks fell forward for 2-3 yards. Maybe in my life someone will pull the sword from the stone....I've never seen so many "heave" passes.

No, it’s not huge.

Let me put it this way...UGA has 16 5* players on their team this year. That is more 5* players than we've had in the last 13 years...total.

I made that stat a few weeks ago. Just one 5* player can make a huge difference. They are stacked right now. The only program in football that has more is Bama and its by a slight margin. Once Kirby locked down the state of Georgia, it hurt Auburns chances big time. Now he is able to go out of state and bring in top tier talent as well.
