Nice close out. Was looking rough there for a minute.

Heck yeah. Went from down 8pts to 22-0 run to close out the game.

Good game for an exhibition. Obviously not being able to see it can't take much away from it. 15 turnovers. We need to average less then 12 a game. 13 offensive rebounds for both teams. Need to be a little better on both sides of that number get more offensive rebounds and allow less. Young team will have to improve FT shooting as well.

I'm sure many teachable moments.

Any one in attendance have any insights?

I felt like Bruce was experimenting a little. Not much flow offensively. Refs allowed way more contact than previous years. Not sure if that’s just a tonight thing or how they’ll be calling games. Didn’t see much Kessler in the second half. He didn’t look like he had gotten hurt. Team clamped down defensively on the run to close the game out. We need Flanagan back ASAP.

When we are good, we are very very good. When we are bad, we suck. Will get a better feel on Tuesday.

Harper and Thor both went off in their G-League games. Cooper also had a nice showing.

He was 5/11 from 3 which is nice to see. Feel like that % will be one of the biggest things to watch as he tries to work his way into an everyday NBA role.

He should be playing over Lou Will for Atlanta right now.

More valuable right now to give him experience being the guy and working on skill development for part of his rookie year.

They'll call him up when he is ready and likely for playoffs

Hawks aren’t going to make the playoffs unless they change some things. It’s early but they haven’t looked good at all.

Stephon Castle expecting to commit on Thanksgiving Day. He's visited AU more than anyone else. Landing him and Kanaan Carlyle would be huge.

Big adjustment to both rule change for Tre and teams seeing them as a quality opponent

They'll adjust. Way too much quality talent on the roster

Anybody seeing the classes Arkansas and Kentucky is bringing in? Are our basketball NIL deals as good as they need to be? Kentucky doesn’t even need a nice one but has a crypto exchange giving out prepaid debit cards to the whole team each month.

Arkansas has a highly ranked class but a lot of that ranking is then taking 5 guys this class. Even though they’re ranked 3rd, their class isn’t in the same realm as UK’s.

Smith and Walsh are really good pickups but the rest of the class is kind of meh. Dunning wasn’t a take of Auburn or bama.

Not just Arky and UK. Bama and LSU as well.

I’m not remotely concerned with bball recruiting. Bruce got his top PG this class and his backup at SG was a top 30 player. Also a 5* was the third option at SG.

Now we see what decides to do for PF. It sounds like Lands is similar to Westry was being that if we want him he’s ours. But I have a feeling Bruce will wait since he’s not signing in the early signing period and get a feel for who might hit the portal.

I'm not concerned about BBall recruiting either. Just saying others in the conference are stepping up. The league is going to be nasty for a few years with all the coaching talent.

I'm still interested in why we aren't carrying 13 scholarship players? What are we at this year? 11?

Oh for sure.

Yeah we are currently at 11. Would have been 12 if not for the Desi Sills issue. Part of me is curious if they were planning on leaving one scholly empty just for additional CYA with the NCAA.

But it sounds like they plan to have a full roster next year based off recruiting. JLee said he talked to someone with the team that said they only expect to lose Jabari this year. If that’s the case then them going after three guys this class would give them 13. If Jabari really is the only one we lose then that would be amazing. It would allow this class to come in, develop, and contribute off the bench instead of relying on freshmen to be your impact players.

Day in the life of Wendell Green Jr. Pretty well done. Sounds like Green and Jabari have been working out since the summer at 6:30 every morning
