Bryan Matthews said he attended basketball practice. He saw some nice things from Chris Moore in a stretch of play. Also gave kudos to Wendell, KD, Jabari, Cambridge, and Jaylin for some individual offensive plays. The team worked on offense and some zone defense. Bruce concentrated on communication and switching. Lastly, he said Bruce was very animated. Scholarship guys had to run after every turnover or after giving up an offensive rebound.

I think it will be similar in most folks rankings. These people aren’t diving deep. They see we weren’t even good last year AND lost 2-3 of our best players. They aren’t remembering we were the youngest team in the country and they aren’t gonna let low major guard transfers change their opinion or one five star. But I genuinely think we are sitting on a top 5 team

South Carolina women’s ball coach just got a 7 year 22 million dollar contract.

That’s new.

Saw on Twitter that Jarace Walker cancelled his visit to Texas. He’s set to visit Houston again at the end of the month and then make a decision.

Jarace is our top target this year (along with Darrius Clemons in Football). I really would love to land him since there is no real plan B other than the portal. This recruiting class is a bit different. I think we are in a better position with our top 2023 targets (Collier, Carlyle, Castle) than this year's class.

Seems fair. Our team is super talented and I think they’ll finish better than that ranking, but there’s a lot of new pieces and Flanny is out.

I could see some growing pains with this team, might be frustrating at times but I do think the sky is the limit with this bunch.

Right there with you. By all reports this sounds like the most competitive team we’ve seen at Auburn under Bruce. If we get quality play (specifically on offense) from the guards then this team is going to be a nightmare to defend against.

Am I missing something? '19-20 Auburn was ranked 24th in preseason coming off a Final Four. Oats has proven zero times that he can reload and not miss a beat, but as usual Alabama basketball is given the benefit of the doubt. Every season of my lifetime.

We lost our three best players from that Final Four team. Bama seems to have recruited well and kept a couple good ones.

Could also argue they lost their 3 best players. Definitely 3 of their top 5

I feel like the non conference could be tougher than we think. Might get a couple unexpected losses without Allen. That injury really stinks

Loved Bruce’s interview today. He’s MAGA AF. Surprised he didn’t throw a Let’s go Brandon in there.
