This is interesting to say the least. I thought he had already signed . makes you wonder

He had.

If Thor comes back, that means we would have 0 open spots right if Trey stayed, correct?

And with Scoot potentially reclassifying...

The only way we are over would have been if Thor came back and Scoot reclassified

I'm going positive spin here:

Thor comes back, that leaves one scholly. Scoot reclassifies, and that one scholly is now between Scoot and Alexander. Auburn tells Alexander he should look elsewhere.

This is all made up narrative in my head.

Is he worried about how crowded the 2 spot may become this year?

Someone here loved him some Tray Alexander. Whoever that was, pull his shoestrings and keep an eye on him.

JLee saying it came to a surprise to Auburn. Auburn made it known they would be replacing the guards they lost and it apparently didn't sit right with Alexander. "didn't want to compete" is what was used in the article. The current target to replace Alexander is James Akinjo. I guess we wish Alexander the best because we are releasing him from is LOI

But Akinjo is another PG.

Why would we want another 6'1" pg?

If we’re being honest here, Akinjo is an upgrade over Alexander.

Upgrade?

THat I agree with.

He was 1st team All PAC team. And he is considered one of the top 10 transfer basketball players out there.

Ofc he entered the NBA draft too, so we don't even know if he will come back to college.

But he can play, after watching his film...and darn good at 3 pt shooting...

Because Sills & Jasper are both 2s with Jasper being more of a combo.

You have got to be kidding me.. mere months before he was to arrive on campus. This is terrible news. I love Trey’s game. Huge loss imo

I still don’t understand taking Sills, seems very inconsistent on the floor. If Alexander is afraid of competition, good luck to him.

Sills was preseason all-SEC a mere 8 months ago lol. He is an obvious take. Struggled with injuries but hopefully he's good to go now
