Agreed but at least Jasper is supposedly elite on D and Flanigan has been in the system for 2 years

People are sleeping on Jaylin Williams when projecting next year's minutes. He was our best player for a few weeks this season. Not sure how Bruce will work out all of the rotations but it will be a good problem to have.
I agree with this. He deserves 20-25 minutes. Easily our most well rounded and consistent player on the roster the second half of the season, excluding Cooper.
Bruce likes to go deep with his rotation, but come February/March we will only be playing 10 of these guys. If we get Tyty/Scoot and Thor comes back, you are going to have players like Moore, Cardwell, and maybe even Cambridge riding the bench down the stretch. As it is, I don't see Stretch getting much more than garbage time minutes next year. These guys won't end up sticking around in that situation, they could all get minutes a lot of other schools in the country. Not a bad problem to have, I just don't know if Bruce wants to run any more of these guys off the team.

TyTy picked up a UK offer. Not sure if that changes things or not.

I’ll honestly be surprised if Akingbola is still on the roster at the beginning of the season. Thor isn’t projected to be drafted, I think he’s just getting an eval and will return for another year.

I think Kentucky offered a long time ago.

I think it's a certainty someone in the second round of the draft would take a flyer on Thor. But we shall see.

Jhead on the bunker believes Thor comes back. Another insider says we might not keep Thor with Kessler on board.
I like the idea of Thor staying. Move him to the 3 then Flanny to the 2. Jabari is a one and done at the 4 already. We just need to go after best available of Scoot reclass, Tyty, or another transfer. I don't see a spot for Stretch, but Bruce likes him. Stretch to me is just a foul eater.

If I was NBA GM, I'd take a flyer late first round on a good team. He's a potential lottery pick probably on the 2022 draft.

Kentucky and Baylor offered today, per Tyty

Thor staying would present some unique problems for Bruce. First, Jaylin deserves to start. Second, While Thor is certainly athletic, I don’t think he would be quick enough to guard some of the more athletic 2, and 3s out there.

Hopefully they’re late to the game.
As for JT Thor, I think he’s gone. I hope not, but it seems like he is.
Could ultimately see Stretch moving on as well.

I wonder what the pitch was to Kessler to get him to come. If Thor does come back we are definitely going to be right on minutes in the front court. I watched Kessler’s highlights today and was pretty impressed. He is a great defender, aggressive rebounder, and rubs the court very well. Also looks like he has much better hands than Wiley and pretty good vision for a big man.
But ultimately with all the talent we could have next year, I could see him playing a somewhat similar role as Wiley in 2018-2019 season. There are certain games where we will absolutely need his size and defense depending on who we are playing, and other games where it will feel like he is slowing down the pace and clogging the lane.

The last thing you want to happen is TyTy pick elsewhere just to have Scoota decide to not reclassify and/or go to the G-League.
I'd guess that his offer is committable right now. #30 player in the entire class and #3 PG. It's not like he's outside the Top 100.

I don’t think he’s a bad player by any means.

Nate King @247 thinks AU is in a good place to land Desi Sills. He decides announces later today
Posted on 4/14/21 at 9:44 am to TheJones
I assume Sills will play the 2 guard?
He really was relied on near the end of the season and during the SECT and NCAAs.
He looks like he is definitely a streaky scorer, where he had games where he hardly scored, except against Auburn ofc.
He's not tall, so wonder what he can bring to the guard position other than experience and quickness.

I think he dealt with injuries last season? Correct me if I'm wrong.

We’re going to get scoring from everywhere on this team, but we really need someone who can go for 20 when they’re feeling it and Sills can provide it.
I love it because he isn’t going to command the minutes that someone like Pinson would’ve commanded.
