As fantastic as Cooper was all game, he lost the last 2 minutes to Petty.

He'd sure like to have that one back.

Do we think the appeal of playing in a real season in front of a full arena with a contending team is enough to get Cooper to come back next year?

We don’t know if there will be a crowd next year.I don’t think that’s a given.

Considering an idiot or two had Flanigan in the top 10 after the first two games, I'm not all that optimistic. Not that they really matter, but there's been a lot of knee-jerking with Auburn and draft dweebs lately.

That was an ill-prepared final 50 seconds. Absolutely terrible.

Regardless, we held our own. I’m OK with it

Bitter sweet game. Glad to see that we have a PG for the rest of the season, but it sucks that we're likely going to continue to struggle next year.

Not even mad. We have a bright outlook. If we can convince them to come back we are set

Coop is good, I’ve been watching him since he was in 8th grade but those last two possessions have always been his issue. He needs atleast another year in college IMO.

He got fatigued. As he gets into game shape and Powell gets healthy to take a few more minutes at pg we'll be fine. Gotta tip your cap to Alabama. Those 3 seniors were the difference late.

Yeah Coop is bad about playing hero ball in late game situations. That stuff doesn’t fly in the NBA.

But really, what do we do without Coop next year?

If Coop leaves after one season and I hope he doesn’t, but if he did, although he would not easily be replaced because he is the most talented PG we’ve ever had, Trey Alexander is more than capable of playing PG. He is a true Combo guard who is comfortable playing point and off guard. He plays point for his high school team.

Any chance of Scoot reclassifying? I’m sure Bruce has been thinking about it. Cooper has been showing up in mock drafts for months

I still think teams will be hesitant on Cooper, especially with only a half of a season of film on him.

Cooper...man he was the one guy this team couldn't afford to lose. Good to see them playing with him today.

I think there is a slim chance but I don’t see it happening. He would have a lot of work to do and he seems like a kid that really enjoys his high school experience. Plus, unless someone leaves the team between now and then, with Alexander and Smith, we are at our scholarship limit for next season. Also, there is the possibility we’re hit with sanctions and a reduced scholarship limit. We’ll see how it all shakes out but I wouldn’t think so..
