Remains to be seen if he will get a waiver.

A player of his caliber...I have a strong suspicion that he'll be eligible immediately.

Per Brooks Hansen regarding Mac McClung:

Auburn is in the lead as of today. But Memphis is involved. They’ll likely get an opportunity to have the same Zoom pitches as they did with DeAndre Williams.

If it is legit, I wonder what our connection was to get his interest?

Coming from GT, I don't know if he had any ties to our staff, or anyone in the south...

He's originally from southwest Virginia. Not far from the Tennessee, North Carolina and Kentucky state lines. I'd guess his biggest draw to come to Auburn would be path to playing time and the opportunity to get some minutes at pg when Cooper needs a blow.

We may have Trae Young, Charles Barkley, Isaac Okoro and Riff Raff all at a game next year.

Not far from UT. I worry about them the most if they are high on his list.

I don't think MM would come to Auburn to spell Cooper at PG, if his goal is to get to the NBA. And Cooper, I feel, will be at AU as long as he would be(2 years)...

Vols fans saying their insiders are telling them it's an Auburn - Wake Forest battle

Gotta think Wake would have a better pitch at playing time. Auburn's draw would be winning, Pearl, and a bigger more exciting campus with better/ more women.

He would change the outlook for next year from a transition-rebuild year to a sweet-sixteen or better year.

He’s exactly what this team needs. An experienced scorer who can also play point. Perfect replacement for Samir.

*If he gets a waiver to play immediately

Anyone else struggling with the idea that the NCAA would grant his waiver at Auburn?

I don’t see them doing us any favors. Even if this kid cures coronavirus

Hey Jang. What's the thread title? The one I thought it would be in gave me the 247 end of the internet error message.

Class of 2020 BB recruiting discussion.

I’ve gotten that message a ton of times on 247 today. Sometimes I can refresh and it works again. Sometimes I back out, and it works. You really just have to hold your mouth right I reckon.

Why is memphis always there? Same coaching/playing style ultimately leading to evaluating similar prospects? I’m asking as I’m ignorant to the way Penny coaches and ultimately runs his program.

Supposedly AU & Memphis have the same Guard needs.

A couple of people are echoing what Hansen said about McClung, that it's AU & Memphis with AU likely leading. One said Penny is working this one overtime though. Another one said AU has a legit shot but it's a lock that he will get a waiver to play immediately.
