remember Jack Purchase? He ended up having a good career at Hawaii but didn't get drafted.
He had a good midmajor career but he wasn't good enough to start at AU. Would have possibly been an alright deep bench rotation guy
Keep in mind I say that as someone who loves his stretch 4/5 3FG shooting offensive game.

5* 6’9 PF Jabari Smith with some flattering things to say about Auburn in an interview with Corey Evans:
When other schools were mentioned his language wasn’t as strong though he did say Barnes at Tennessee is selling him hard on being his next Durant. He didn’t shut out the possibility of G League so maybe keeping track of the 6’9 5* recruitment is still a waste of time.

CE: You also visited Auburn unofficially and they have had great success in Atlanta, so what are your thoughts about that program?
JS: They are always known for getting Georgia guys and just recently started to win with them. I honestly think their program is headed to be one of the powerhouses and they get a lot of guys from Georgia and who wouldn’t want to play with someone like Sharife Cooper, one of the best point guards in the country. Just him going there, and they got JT (Thor), too, so the caliber of players they’re getting is really good and the coaching staff is great. It just felt like it was exploding whenever I was there.

He said he wanted to take things slow. It wasn’t mentioned as a strong possibility or even a possibility at all, so I doubt it.

Reclass Candidate?

Like I've mentioned before give me JD or any highly rated PG and Jabari and that will be a great class because it will probably be a small class next year for us.

Well we still have one spot available now. I feel pretty confident unless some highly rated reclassify kid wants on board that we will use that last spot on a Senior GT at point guard. So going into next year for recruiting we will have 1 spot for the GT that will graduate.
Then you have to look at 3 kids currently on the roster. Turbo, Javon Franklin, and Jamal Johnson to see how they develop over the course of next season. One will probably "decide" to transfer for an opportunity to play.
That opens up 2 spots.

quote:Or Josh Langford at combo guard should he choose to leave Sparty. Also word is the staff prefers a CG to a PG at this point.
we will use that last spot on a Senior GT at point guard.
quote:Maybe but it's not something that can be assumed right now.
That opens up 2 spots.

Hooks says no way Sotto would’ve cleared NCAA clearinghouse. Apparently he was already working with agents.

Agreed can't be assumed but happens all the time in basketball. Whether the decision of the player or brought up by the staff. We all know how the games works when you want to be a sweet 16 team year after year.

quote:Yup. To add to your point some are saying there's still a possibility a 2nd scholly opens up in this class.

Nothing wrong with this now that the G-league provides an avenue for them to reach the league. NCAA and nba need to figure it out. Otherwise top talent starts working with agents as juniors in high school
