I'm in the Sandman boat with him. I'll worry when we miss on Green and Brown and if we do I'm sure we will probably take Cardwell and either pickup a sleeper we have our eye on or save the scholly.

I don’t think he’s set a commit date. I’m guessing he won’t commit anywhere until he knows he can reclassify.
And last I saw reported was he & his teammate Sanogo were not going to make a final decision on reclassifying til this Summer.

A couple of Kuminga nuggets from connecteds on the bunker.

One says supposedly Kuminga told LSU 2 weeks ago they were no longer an option because of the audio tapes on Wade & so the family wanted to distance themselves from LSU.

Another says Duke has ramped things up with Kumings now that they see it's likely he reclassifies & will try to make their numbers work to land him.

The former is positive. I can respect that.

Don’t like that Duke is ramping things up though. Can we make spots to sell a Kuminga/ Sanoga package deal while also getting a GT SG?

FWIW and SIAP: Amidst all the Jalen Green hype yesterday we were included in a GT SG’s top ten.

Justin Kier from George Mason

Averaged 14.5 points, 6.5 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game in his last full* college season while shooting 37.1% from 3.

6-4 guard

*He only played 9 games last season due to a foot injury, but in those 9 games he nearly averaged 46% from 3.

The NBA announced in October 2018 that beginning in the 2019-20 season select players would be able to earn $125,000 to play in the G League for a year before entering the NBA Draft.

One source said Green could make twice that much — $250,000 — next year in the G League and would be given his choice of teams. By playing in the G League instead of the Australian NBL — which this year featured former American high school stars LaMelo Ball and R.J. Hampton — he would not have to leave the country during the coronavirus pandemic.

The NBA is pretty much side stepping their own one and done rule with that amount of potential for earnings though the commissioner has already said he doesn’t like the rule anymore.

It is pretty difficult to go straight to the NBA. For every LeBron, you have a ton more who fail. CBB allows you to adjust then make the jump.

Bruce would like a Grad Transfer if nothing more then for a leader to show the young guys how to work and chemistry is the rumor floating around. Not sure he gets it if he fills up on high school players. You certainly can't turn away a top 10 recruit for a GT in that case but an interesting name to watch.

There are some G League players out there that won't be playing around with some 18 year old trying to 1 up them. Might be a good decision for some kids who desperately need the money but if that becomes the norm for some of the more talented kids to go the G League route I expect many failures, not saying there would be more then in college but those grown men in the G league don't mess around. If you're smart go to school get an education and if a lottery pick is available in the draft after 1 or 2 years take it and work it out in the contract that when done playing they pay for the rest of school.

One and done rule is dumb. If they’re good enough to play, let them play. If I were looking at a deal that big, I would have a hard time going to college.

The 3 years removed from high school if in college for baseball is more goofy then the 1 and done for the nba. But if you don't go to college baseball you can go directly into the draft. Same for football as well I guess but not many NFL teams would be lining up for any high school football players. They have a great farm system in college football for free.

I see what you’re saying. JG will be dealing with some jealous vets with a chip on their shoulders and that will bruise his ego, but at the end of the day his talent advantage should prevail. I also think CBB is a no brainer as far as fan engagement, competitive desires, and college degrees go, but what the G League can offer is a chance to make a decent amount of money while specializing on their professional craft in an environment much closer to home, albeit with less fanfare.

Actually he plans to fill all 6 current spots in the class with freshmen if he gets 6 quality ones. Need 2 more.

That being said, one connected did say Bruce has a nice back up SG plan should Green go elsewhere. Not sure if that's a GT or not.

All I know is that I can't judge anyone for making the best decision for them. Other then game playing punks like Pickens.

Just an incredible feeling as a AU basketball fan to even been in this situation of looking at closing in on the top class in the nation. Amazing time to be an Auburn fan.

Just imagine what Bruce could do without that dreaded "under armour" contract Barbee bitched and complained about. What a fricking loser.

Could have sworn I heard Keith mention what I mentioned on Marcello's podcast over the weekend. Maybe I heard wrong.

Oh well not gonna sweat recruiting just gonna hope for the best and if we close out with 2 guys we've never heard of before I trust Bruce. Who thought Samir would be All-SEC when we signed him, heck who thought he would be All-SEC coming into the season?

With Green and Brown we would finish .06 behind UK. Agreed UK's class is nasty as usual but they really racked up this year

I wonder what kind of class UK or Duke could pull if they didn’t play the recruiting game at all. All they did was have coach make one phone call to make the offer and that’s it. If Cal or K did that for the 2021class, I wonder if they’d still land a class.
