Looks to be moving pretty well considering what it looked like. But hamstrings can be a long lingering pain in the arse - like Adam Thielen’s for my fantasy team

I mean we afforded it decently well when we beat a team in the elite 8 that had most recently curb stomped us WITH Chuma.

Now I'm not saying we were better without him, but I think Jared and Bryce were equally valuable.

That's a good point. When they curb stomped us we were still standing around trying to shoot 3's it was the same offense that looked so bad playing USCe on the road. I never said the team couldn't get hot and shoot the ball well enough to play with anyone. Brown and Harper had shown that for the better part of 2 seasons. The efficiency with which we played with Chuma once the O began to go through him was different.

IMO we'd of beat UVA with Chuma by 10 or more because even with their great D he had the size and strength to score when nothing else was working. All of this of course leaves out that he was also our best defender.

Is it just me, or does it feel like opposing teams light it up from the outside in auburn arena?

After checking quickly, it looks like Vandy, LSU, and UK are the only teams that have shot above their average from 3 against us at home.

It felt like bama went off from three because they shot a record number of them.

I'd recommend you go revisit that game. We played through Chuma a lot in that game.

You said he couldn't create his own shots against elite guards. Just admit you had a brain cramp and move on.

Chuma vs DeAndre Hunter would've been a great matchup. One that Chuma would've won on both sides IMO and I will think you're right about Auburn winning by 10 with him.

Chuma would've gone on to get the better of Jarrett Culver and Auburn would've won the National Championship and Chuma Okeke would've probably been a top 5 pick

That season will always be remembered as what if Chuma didn't get hurt and what if they called the double dribble. For the rest of our lifes. Man Samir smh

I'd still like to know what would've happened the year before if McLemore hadn't gotten hurt. It's weird how people can call Auburn basketball lucky.

Is anybody else grateful that Mclemore fouled out? I don’t know that we win if he doesn’t foul out. He was choking hard.

Mclemore only has a short time left. Winningest player in Auburn history and he cannot make a FT when the game counts? And then he allows a four point boneheaded play in OT. Some people think the late plays are not any more important than the rest, and I don’t believe that. Closers in baseball get paid handsomely for that very reason, to close.

Few other thoughts:

J’von still runs point well enough for Pearl. He has been a pleasant surprise after the Ole Miss game. He handled the ball well late in the game.

Doughty has also played well lately. They’re both making positive changes to their legacies at Auburn.

It’s Purifoy’s time to turn it on now that we need to replace Okoro for awhile. He was the guy that Bruce called his best pro. We never got to see that potential realized, but he has time to make final touches on his career.

That's very different than what you said.

He did struggled to create his own shot at times and at other times could go unstoppable.

It sucks because Okoro was about to blossom into a dominant force on both ends of the court, that we’ve only seen glimpses of so far. He needs to rest up and be ready to go for March Madness. Kiss the regular season title and tourney champ goodbye, unfortunately. We’ll come to understand how much he meant to this time in his absence. On the bright side, It will give the other freshmen an opportunity to gain more valuable experience.

I think we still have a chance if we only lose 2 or less. Real good chance at least for a share of the title. LSU might lose 3 of next 4. Kentucky will lose 2 more.

It’s just time for other players to step up. Cambridge needs to start being a consistent scorer and defender. Danjel has the spotlight to be what he was supposed to be. I’m far from throwing in the towel on an SEC banner

Usually pessimistic Marcello predicts we finish 13-5 in SEC. What’s your predictions?

We play @mizzou, @uga, tennx2, OM, @UK, and tamu.

Also, happy Valentine’s Day to Pearl from his non-secret admirer.
