Don't see any news in that pic. Just a nice hopeful photo for us AU fans. Unless Jalen made a caption in his instagram post I'm not seeing.

The news is that Jalen Green posted a pic with he and Shariffe Cooper on his Instagram account. It may not have any words in it, but it is definitely news. Cmon E, it’s not worth our time to get into a debate about what “news” is.

So ESPN has Okoro as the #4 draft prospect right now, #1 SF

LINK

Bleacher Report has him #5 to Twolves

So much for everyone saying he isn't even a lotto pick

I agree with E on this one.

I've seen too many 'posts' that give the impression it's good news for us as far as recruiting goes but never materializes.

Jalen may just have a great relationship w/ Cooper. Many players have great bonds w/ other stars, but simply go their own way, for what's best for Jalen, not Jalen and SHarife.

That article was an Okoro feature, and that sentence is very true. I truly think we are getting the most we can get out of Mclemore, Wiley, Samir, and Jvon.

Okoro is the most obvious candidate to get more production from.. but can we get a tick more from Danjel? Consistency from Cambridge? Enough defense from Jamal to actually be able to enjoy his 3 pt shooting? I think Flanigan kinda just is what he is this year.. a guy who can bring a spark off the bench in certain games, but unplayable in others.

Nice analogy of our players.

I don't think JJ is a great defender, but he needs to find his stroke, bc offense is what we want from him.
Flanigan is our best sub defender, but ohhh...please don't shoot any more 3 pointers or shoot free throws. :)

Cambridge is the major key. Instant fire and offense. Guy moves really well on the floor. He looks like a gazelle with his moves, but he needs another year of development. With Purifoy not at full strength, the key will be can Cambridge score consistently or will he disappear again?

Nobody thinks that picture means we lead.

The fear around the program is that a lineup that includes four seniors may have already maxed out its potential, which makes the development of Okoro over the next five weeks so important.

I don't believe this at all.

Purifoy and Wiley and Anfernee - maybe so

Jvon - getting more and more comfortable leading the team. I think he has grown with more minutes and will continue to improve his play as his confidence grows playing night in and night out against tough SEC competition. he was not stepping up and making big time shots but now he is.

Samir - he is now the man that wants the ball. he struggled with this role early on and has really taken off recently. he is gaining more and more confidence in himself that he is an elite cbb player and team leader.

While I agree that okoro has the most room for continued improvement and upside, I believe both guards have not found their ceiling.

FWIW Mark Murphy expects Danjel to play tonight although A-Mac starts. Says Danjel was intently watching practice yesterday & knowing his assignments vs Bama.

Never been a truer statement. I would add though besides the development of Okoro a consistent offensive presence from Cambridge, Johnson, or Flannigan would help us reach our max max potential.

Dont think Thai meant news literally. Probably meant “here are some positive vibes for your morning” more than anything else.

For a brief moment I was thankful I didn’t have to wait in any line to get into games when I was a student... then I remember why it was that way

I wonder if they will change the student entry system going forward. This year has been nuts

Yeah, when I was a freshman I had to pay to get into a baseball game but basketball was free.
