This also the third year in a row Auburn has been in the top 10. Amazing what Bruce has done. My expectations getting Bruce was just to be consistent tournament team. He has far exceeded by expectations.

There’s plenty of teams in his top 25 with a worse resume than Auburn.

I think his rationale is stupid, I just am saying that he is consistent with his rationale. The teams in his top 25 all have more wins / matchups vs other top 25-50 teams by his standards

That’s a weak excuse for a guy doing a shitty arse job

It wasn't an excuse as much as pointing out this isn't a diss specifically at Auburn. There definitely are some anti AU people out there so sometimes it is mistaken

I’m not sold on this team yet but he’s silly for not including Auburn. He had Auburn at 18 2 wins earlier. I think he should just admit he forgot to include Auburn

I think the SEC schedule is going to be a grind for us. I'd love to compete for the regular season title but I am concerned we don't have enough pieces to win the tight games. That being said other teams I thought would be good aren't as good as I thought in league and teams I wasn't overly concerned about aren't nearly as bad as I expected. It should be a fun ride.

A lot of coaches tend get their teams playing much better in the consistent schedule of conference play. Mike White and Frank Martin for example

Doughty has made a big jump from last year on offense.
Think it has more to do with him being fully healthy. Before he suffered a nagging ankle injury last year that plagued him all season he was shredding folks in practice.

I don't follow recruiting but saw Bruce tweet out that Greg Brown has Auburn in the top 5. What are the chances he chooses Auburn?

Slim to none but I guess you just never know. I feel like Green is more likely. If Green comes maybe Cliff Omoruyi follows.

Green forecast. tifwiw

Final Prediction

As we broke down each of the schools recruiting Jalen, I have to say Memphis and Auburn are the front runners. My prediction for Jalen Green right now is Auburn. The Tigers give him the best chance at competing for a National Championship and helping him get to the NBA. Green is planning to make his college decision around March after his basketball season.

Defense travels, and I think this will help us considerably once SEC play begins. Not many SEC teams have faced a defense like ours so far...

I refuse to get my hopes up on Green, but I would love to see what he could do under Bruce.

Here’s an interesting nugget from Eric Bossi from rivals. He says Auburn has put it self in a really good spot with 5* & #2 C Maker Makur. He says Makur is trying to get NBA draft eligible for 2020 but if he doesn’t he will go to college. He says also that Auburn has done a really good job laying groundwork when other teams assumed he would be going to the NBA or overseas.
