Same maybe Washington can pull the upset. Either way I’m going to enjoy the ride.

Not a bad thing. You can only play at a high level like we have over a certain period of time. They need to rest

Given some of the lulls we saw during the season and the gripes we had, it’s been great to see this team show what many thought they could be back in November and December.

Proud... really damn proud... I remember playing Syracuse and Carmelo years ago... We didn’t lose that game, only ran out of time.

Agreed. Chuma has stepped it up and the rest of the team responded. Javon has added a nice wrinkle and Austin is giving great minutes.

This team made it’s turn on the defensive end. Defense has been swarming.

Yeah. I was in school during the Ellis/Lego eras. Terrible basketball. Jelly.

It really has, and from top to bottom too. I think the most impressive thing about them is how the entire team has picked up their defensive intensity. Guys like Purifoy who have been given crap in the past for poor defense have really stepped up, Danjel may not have scored any points tonight but he was excellent defending Lawson when he was in the game.

Purifoy still is struggles on rotations/help but he has been a great defender both on stretch 4s and disrupting passing lanes with his length

Purifoy deserves way more credit for shutting down Lawson in the 1H

Lawson didn't find success until Purifoy was off the floor in 2H

Yep that defense is what leads to those open shots in transition. This team’s transformation has been great to watch.

Last post and I’m going to bed. We are on a 10 game winning streak and that’s largely because of our bench and being able to turn the teams over. It was my folly thinking once we play the better teams in the SEC tournament that we wouldn’t be able to turn the teams over as much. But we have benefited from turning everybody over no matter how good or bad they are. We do not have the brawn or the height, but we have a defense that is stingy with the opponent spreading the ball around and we block passing lanes really well. UNC will be the next test more than likely. They have some experience so we will see.

Which also means we will also have to play against Auburn Alabama product, Garrison Brooks.

Also... McLemore has his best game in months... he’s got to play at that level I’d we want a chance vs UNC.

Playing UNC and KY in back to back games to get to the Final 4. Man this bracket has seemed pretty harsh.
