So talent wise, is he comparable to Heron?

Yes, think Herron but more aggressive on offense and a better defender.

Can anybody explain how McEachern didn't win state in hoops last year?

They were #1 for most of the year and went 26-3 before losing to runner-up Norcross in the quarterfinals

Norcross Key Players

3* '18 SF JoJo Tippin - UGA Commit
4* '19 PG Kyle Sturdivant
5* '20 SG Brandon Boston (#14 247)

Not sure how you can be more aggressive than the guy w/ a historically low assist rate who either shoots or attempts to bulldoze to the rim

I'm guessing you mean that Okoro is more explosive than Heron and plays better off the ball instead of trying to ISO every play

Just has better skill set overall, and more athletic. IMO

This is the correct answer no matter what he meant. Okoro is definitely more athletic and explosive than Herron. Little lankier, but seems to be a better slasher as well.

Was it Okoro's tweet or someone else's?

Probably so and I imagine we'll find out if it is deleted or not

So schedule should come out very soon but until then assuming they stick to the rotation schedule + alternating location

Unplayed H/A Series Opponents since '15-16 Change (Pick 2)

- TAMU
- UF
- MSU
- UK

Previous H/A Series Opponents
'17-18- Ark, USCe
'16-17- LSU, Mizz
'15-16- TN, Vandy

Permanent Home/Away Opponents
- Bama
- UGA
- Ole Miss

Most Recent Single Game Location
- Ark: H '16-17
- LSU: H '17-18
- MSU: @ '17-18
- Mizz: @'17-18
- TAMU: H '17-18
- TN : @ '17-18
- UF : @ '17-18
- UK : H '17-18
- USCe: @ '16-17
- Vandy: H ' 17-18

I will honestly be pretty pleased if we get to play Duke and play a good game against them.

I would guess for the H/A series opponents the possible combinations based on the previous home/away scheduling would be

TAMU - UF
TAMU - MSU
UK - UF
UK - MSU

They'd never do UK/UF in the same season so I'd guess

UK - MSU

or

TAMU - UF

Pretty similar skill set I would say. Okoro is built more like a basketball player than a linebacker like Heron. Taller and longer, naturally better in traffic, but will need to keep working on 3pt shooting.

Heron was more day 1 ready imo but Okoro has a higher ceiling.

This. I was there the first time Mustapha ran full court with the team (I think it was before he had even signed) and I swear he was as good that day as he ever was in an AU uniform. Not criticizing him, he just kinda seemed to be one of those that peaks early.

Hooks said on another board that Chuma is down about 10-15 lbs and has taken his lifting very seriously

I definitely think that will be a huge positive for him. He looked like he had some extra weight and losing it should help his explosion

Wiley looked jacked during the draft process. Like his head was too small for his body.

Didn’t UK just have a 5 Star forward decommit? Curious if we were ever actively recruiting him and may pursue.
