It was a terrible call in that situation. Tank couldn’t be stopped. He needed the ball there.

Auburn football IS that we can take a first and goal and run it 4 times, and score. That is what Auburn has been (before gus) and should ALWAYS fricking be. I get it, but I am also a little disappointed TJF didn't have / wasn't given a chance to get on the field, on possibly our worst play call of the game. JMO tho. WDE.

RUN THE GAT DAM FOOTBALL!!! (I think some or most of us saw it. I hate to do Gus, but Auburn has pretty much always been a downhill running team, 3 yards and dust and beat you down all game or Bo Jackson, and shout out to J Hunter on his new school record (longest rushing td from scrimmage, 94 or 96 yards I think). And that man comes to work. Tank fricking comes to work. I believe if we gave him a chance, TJF would be doing more RZ / 3rd&short / Goaaline) work. We need to spend some more time on just running the gat dam football. That is who we are supposed to be. RBU????? (and our line was not bad @PSU. A bit more practice / reps / game experience if possible on certain situations would probably help, but frick if I know anything. War Eagle!

You may run the power I ...if, your offensive line is dominating. We are not dominating. Besides ...they are shooting gaps on that play ...

According to the scheme ....Bo may not have had the option to audible into a run.

I could audible any run into a pass. But to audible out of a pass to run? Dang near impossible, unless I saw something and ran a surprise Quarterback Draw.

I haven't seen where the press has asked Harsin about that call yet. Has he commented on it?

3 games in and players are pissed about a coach's play calling ability? Between that and subpar recruiting already I'm sure this ends well.

A dumbass call costs us a big game? Where have I seen this before?

I think the real problem is why there were only like 4 targets all game, and one of those, Shedrick has trouble finding the ball in the air. Why was our bench left on the bench?

Is there anything in any staff contract preventing CBH from requiring stairs, as necessary? Work outs, conditioning, etc.?

It would be nice if the coaches did something like this to set and show an example. Everyone had a part in the loss. Everyone. Except maybe Aubie. But imagine even Aubie will put in more than his share of stairs. Pride. Drive. Desire. Accountability. Guts and Heart. That should for all Auburn people.

Just asking for me.

That play on the goal lines is a pretty good chance of either a TD or a PI.

Not for AU nor those particular players Bro. Makes me sad too.

We has to run the gat dam ball, and we have time to get our shite straight before LSU. I hope and think we do. Will be nice to have Shaun back. A few changes and adjustments and playing to our strengths here and there and we are not far from being a really good Offense (as are others. It is and will be a great season).

ETA, sorry to borrow this but I can't remember whose sig this or who deserves the credit, but "Hindsight is 50/50"

Unless you have a 6’6” WR out there on a 6’ DB, it will always be a terrible call.

People think that’s a much higher % play then it really is

Yeah, I've never liked the goaline fade. Especially to the short side of the field, to a 6'1" WR against their best corner. If that's the route, throw it back shoulder, not a jump ball.

Either run it down their throats there, or a play action to get the LBers to bite up and dump it behind them to a TE.

this is the right take - i wouldn't be upset if we still had Seth and they went with the call. you can expect a stud guy like him to make that 1 on 1 play if you throw a jump ball. that's when the percentages are high-ish. but to throw to an unproven (albeit talented at times, i'll give him that, and his name is Kobe) against a fifth year senior, that is just a foolish call. you gotta go with your team's strength and hand off to tank or jarquez. shoot, even some sort of play which gives Bo the chance to pass or scramble in, then you at least have options.

THe first problem that put us in this hole down there was it was first and goal from the 10. That's a long way to go against a good D. All runs was not going to happen against that strong front 7.

They did try to pass it 3 times in those 4 plays.
The first down call was good one trying to get it to Jackson.
2nd down run by Tank was good too, but like I said that front 7 was not going to budge.
3rd down pass to the TE is what got us close. If our TE was bigger and stronger he gets in. SHenker did his best to get us to the 2.
4th down...I want to hear(but know we won't) why Harsin/Bobo thought the fade to the corner was the call? What did they see that they felt that was their best call? It's low percentage. Hudson is not a big, or tall or our go to WR. I want to know if it was executed correctly?

Finally, I still think an option w Bo and Tank going to the wide side should have been one of the options.

Tank was not going to be denied there.

I’m glad he’s mad and says a lot about his confidence and competitiveness. We need that on our team in spades.
