Can we have a serious discussion about how to use his accuracy? He is terrible under even minor pressure...but with our OL now in it's 5th season of playing poorly against any decent DL we are going to have to figure out how to move the ball without the running game. IMO Stidham is overrated. I'd trade him for a few QB's in our league, but he is our guy. Our only chance of winning against MSU, uga and bama is to change the O's identity.

The D has to get better also...we are giving up to many 3rd downs. We got away with it against UW, but not tonight.

Just another boring white AU QB.
Is what it am. Gets the job done sometimes. In big games he doesn’t.
There have been dozens and he will be an obscure answer to a trivia question a decade from now like most of the rest

I don't believe you. Dropped passes. Terrible holds on our WRs. I can't think of one pass he missed. He isn't Cam or NM, but we could win with him if our OL can open holes for our RBs and our talented WRs start producing.

Stidham played incredible against UGA and Bama last year.

The only QBs I would consider taking over him are Tua, Taamu, and Fields (based solely on potential). Those three run well enough to mak this offense hum.

Stidham played like he was away tonight, but he was at JHS. That first INT ruined him.

He had a very bad game.

He missed the first INT. He threw it on the inside, behind the receiver. We don’t know enough about the offense to say if the second was his fault. Looked like it was supposed to be a back shoulder, but could be wrong.

I've never seen a QB shite his pants in the pocket as much as Stidham. He has PTSD from Clemson last year or something

The 1st pass he threw? It cost us 7 points.

The other int? It cost us at a minimum 3 points.

His biggest misses were the passes he didn't throw because he was staring at pressure.

Twice he didn't throw to wide open receivers waving their hands at him.

Other than the 2 INT's. Agreed.

I’m usually a big Stidham defender but today he was awful. Now, today we had same issues as usual, poor blocking, no separation from wide outs. I love Kodi but damn we need a better wide out coach

I wasn’t at the game so I’m limited to the few times they actually showed the receivers, but it doesn’t appear they do a good job of finding open space when he scrambles. The times I saw they were just standing there.

I know people are mentioning the one that Sal was open, but he was on the complete opposite side of the field from where Stidham was running. Not sure there was any way to see him, and even if he does that it the most dangerous throw a QB can make.

ETA: He’s far from perfect, but he’s still a very good QB. He’s not a Cam or a Baker Mayfield, but he’s still a solid QB. My fear is next year we will be wishing we had him back.

He missed Cox on the check down twice. In general he just doesn't handle pressure at all. I wish he'd just throw up a 50/50 ball deep and hope to get a call. It works against us.

He misread the second Int. That was an option route looking at how Slayton ran it. No safety over the top and he is behind the CB. Should have put it to the end zone.

It's true receivers didn't really help him out which gets back to coaching.

Stidham may not be looking for receivers downfield when a play breaks down because they don't consistently do that.

A lot of our plays seem to lack "release valves".

Either the play works as drawn or get blown up. This would also explain why mobile wizards like cam and Nick were such good fits for gus' offense. They created their own pressure release in plays where none are designed.

I’m with you. When he does he always throws to hit in stride instead of actually making it a jump ball.

Just wait til next year. All you guys will be disappointed after he leaves. Maybe Nix will ball out but Stidham is the best QB we have had since Cam.
