frick. Y'all thought Sean White was small. The 5 kid looks like a little league player.

The funnier part is that people think he will start.

Pettway is looking pretty solid here, hopefully he and Cox can be a nice tandem there or one just shines.

I never realized how big Cowart is until seeing him standing next to Carl. Cowart is looking pretty lanky in a good way. Hopefully they can both be badasses this year and stay healthy.

Perhaps because the team cancer and his enabler are gone?

When DC left, a lot of people went crazy. But, to me, he was never a great coach, and sort of reminded me of TT. I understand most teams need a guy who can do the dirty work, but I don't much like having a slimy guy sneaking around

Prince

quote:

Wanogho is listed at 6-foot-8 and 250 pounds, but his teammates say he is substantially bigger than that. And, with just two full-pad practices in the books, he is already having an impact.

quote:

“Strong as an ox,” senior defensive tackle Devaroe Lawrence said.

quote:

"Everything that he does is almost effortless,” Lawrence continued. "It's like, does he know what he just did or what he's doing? He's a big, fast guy. Prince is going to be good. He's special."

quote:

First-year defensive coordinator Kevin Steele has also been impressed.

quote:

“He's fun to watch because he's a big, athletic guy and he can run really well," Steele said. "He's like a sponge. He hangs on every word you say. If he hears you talking to a linebacker, he's listening. Sometimes I think if that's going to clutter his thought process but I think he just wants to hear everything you have to say."

JF3

quote:

Alex Kozan, who says he saw him “juke the daylights” out of a defensive end.

quote:

"He's got that athleticism,” Kozan said. “He's humble and he wants to work to get better. He seems like a pretty smart kid to me, which is good as a quarterback. We'll see what happens."

Darius James

quote:

James, a former high school signee, has been dominant at times. He is the favorite to win the right tackle job vacated by Avery Young.

quote:

“He's a talented young man,” Malzahn said. “He sat out last year. He was with the scout team. That's always a tough job, especially for an older guy, but he handled it well. He did a solid job with that. He did a good job in our bowl prep. He’s a talented young man.”

quote:

“He has impressed me so far," Kozan said. "He's been able to set the edges as an offensive tackle and keep up with those speed guys, which I wasn't really sure if he could do. But he's proven himself so far. “

I like the group of guys we have. Not sure we're deep enough to make a run at something special or if our QB situation will allow us but I think I'm going to like this team

Endorsed.

Gonna go out on a limb with the following prediction: marginal QB play this year will be a great improvement from last year, thus the offense will be better... and the defense will be MUCH better than last year. Final record: 10-3 (with a bowl win).

Not sure if there was any debate about this or not but Carl seemed to suggest Holland was sticking on the DL

Ya he's at the Bandit/Buck position. Which to me is his perfect slot. We actually have personnel for more 3-4 looks

DE - Montravius Adams
NG - Devaroe Lawrence
DE - Byron Cowart
OLB - Carl Lawson
ILB - Tre Williams
ILB - TJ Neal
OLB - Jeff Holland

I expect tho we run 4-2-5 or 3-3-5 aka nickel most of the season because so many teams are spread out these days
