Coach Sonny is an Auburn Treasure. Holy shite. If you have not listened to our radio broadcast for a basketball game, do yourself a favor. Not only does he understand the game, his color commentary is hysterical. They picked up a big fan in me today. Wow.

Listened today as well. Sonny and Andy were having a BALL. They were laughing and cutting up the entire game. It was great.

He and Rod were my favorite combo. Back before we were good at basketball (early Pearl), listening to them rant and rave about officiating and being complete homers despite the losses was fun.

Those are the game highlights. What I’m talking about is Sonny’s other commentary.
At one point he says something like this:
Sonny: “Man, I hate that the referee’s barber died.”
Andy: “Wait, what? The guy’s barber died?!?”
Sonny: “How else do you explain a haircut like that?”

Coach makes me laugh every broadcast. I think it was the Sec champ game last year and Jared missed a free throw and coach said he looked more nervous than a bootlegger with the sheriff in the front yard.
