We are talking about the same school that did Jetgate.
The same school that just had a group pushing Kevin Steele before Gus was ever actually fired.
They will for sure submit "evidence" for cause.
However I think the ultimate resolution is Harsin says frick you guys and gets a reduced amount of money and walks.

The thing that doesn’t make sense about “Auburn” starting the rumors is that they have nothing to gain from it. If these rumors are true then they don’t need to make the public aware. If they’re not, then they won’t be able to fire him for cause anyway.

Honestly it kinda blows my mind that some of you think Auburn would really fire the guy for cause without actual proof.
Not sure I’ve seen a single person say that auburn would fire him for cause and submit a fake reason as the reason.
Most are just referring to it being possible that some of the rumors are fake and meant to hurt his reputation, and may result in him voluntarily leaving (if the rumors are fake)
If the rumors are true then he will be fired for cause. If they are false and conveniently released while he’s on vacation, well he may have a legal case then depending on who started the rumors

You don’t fire a coach over a message board rumor. We do not know who even started this rumor. That’s the sad part. All speculation and you think we have no choice but to fire the coach. Holy cow.

Auburn is at fault for the administration staying quiet while the rumors ran rampant on social media and sports radio.
They could have easily come out with a statement pretty quickly. The silence only furthered the belief they were true. Wasn't it Justin Hokenson who started the affair rumor first?

Did Jay Gogue not come out and say yesterday that they were trying to separate fact from fiction? No, I don’t believe Hokanson started that rumor. He’s just reported that Harsin’s future was in doubt.

I did some digging and found this pic... looks like Gus and Freezus may have started this. Seems Harsin was having a better time and they got Jelly.

Oh sure he did. But if all of this was really happening behind the scenes then the folks knew this was coming.
This was a coordinated drop of articles placing Harsins future in doubt. Articles were dropped Thursday early morning (or was it Friday early morning?)

Those articles mentioned absolutely nothing about an affair. That is NOT part of Auburn's "investigation" into Harsin, and never has been.
That rumor started on some Discord server. No Auburn writer is propagating that rumor. The fact that some of you are still talking about "Auburn" starting that rumor as if it's relevant to the case shows that you don't even know what is happening.
The allegations have nothing to do with an affair. Stop talking about that shite.

Weren’t there also racism allegations in an actual article?

I didn't say they did. It's undisputed that multiple Auburn outlets dropped stories the day or so after signing day while Harsin is away on vacation

Publicly announcing that and talking circles around the situation alone creates bad publicity. If it were nothing he would have had the AD come out in support of Harsin and made it a day.

The Montgomery Advertiser article said Harsin didn’t like NLI especially to players from low income backgrounds because they would lose focus.
You tell me.
Why would Auburn get sued for that?

Auburn has 12 million things to gain
Posted on 2/5/22 at 2:17 pm to Aubie Spr96
There is currently an investigation and we will have to see what develops. In the meantime, things are the same as they were a week ago. The program is in the same condition under the same leadership, good or bad.
Posted on 2/5/22 at 2:22 pm to Aubie Spr96
Nope, just some bull shite at good old Auburn.
Posted on 2/5/22 at 2:24 pm to Poker Dough
They don’t have anything to gain from releasing false rumors. I thought that was clear?

If those rumors get him fired with cause Auburn save 12 mill
