Auburn is now -9 big game if we lose this one we will likely lose 3 in a row with the next game at Mizzou. Really need this one

I was under the impression that the likelihood of Bruce staying was getting better but apparently it’s not, the situation is merely in a holding period.

Leath saying shite like the following makes me think we are about to get hammered.
“At some point, (the NCAA) will be here,” Leath said. “Yes, they will be here.”

I am absolutely dumbfounded with Leath.. anything beyond a "no comment" is a borderline fireable offense, to me. You never see any leaders of any institution mouth off/respond to fan emails/etc like this (Well, save one POTUS)

Leath needs to shut his damn mouth and let this unfold.

And Dan wolken is a shite stirrer of ge highest order... take his articles (esp on pearl) with a grain of salt.

I want Bruce to stay, and I don't love Leaths comments, but I at least understand them. He is hedging The worst case outcome, that we both win but Bruce has done something legit fire worthy

If the Bruce Caboose picks up too much steam, he will have a Tennessee basketball situation on his hands.

What if NCAA puts crippling sanctions on Bruce but AU fans make him unfirable? What if he fires Bruce over legit transgressions but there is a fan revolt?

If NCAA puts crippling sanctions on Bruce.. because he did something worthy of it.. I'm very confident everyone would turn against Bruce. To draw this out and entertain bad press is good for no one.

If we make the NCAAT under Bruce, it would have to be terrible sanctions to get Bruce fired

Auburn is used to being "under sanctions" bad. We'd or rival be willing for 1-2 years of sanctions to keep a good coach

I agree. He is playing toward the possibility that something is found. I still think a better decision would have been a simple no comment due to an ongoing investigation but I understand why he said what he said. I think it is silly to assume like some have elsewhere that Leath actually wants something to be found so he can have a reason to fire Pearl.

I still do not understand why Auburn fans blame Leath, compliance, or anyone other than Person, the families, players and to a lesser extent anyone in basketball who knew and looked the other way or was involved.

Huh?.... none of what you said changed the fact Leath should not comment publicly.

This is all persons fault... piece of shite deserves what’s coming his way. We’ll find out eventually if pearl is clean.

Why not? I bet if Leath had been at Auburn a few more years Pearl would have either met with him or been shown the door. It's insane Pearl won't go meet with his boss. Lawyers or not.

I do. I just believe allowing a coach to blow you off as the president has longer lasting issues than a single season or sport. Leath inheriting this mess helps offer him some political cover. I doubt he'd let this play out the way it is playing out if it had happened under his watch. Just a guess based on how he is making decisions.

New President, gets stonewalled by a HC he did not hire. That is not going to sit well and with a new AD now anything could happen. If the NCAA drops the hammer Bruce is gone either way I think. He could jump ship or be fired.

People who don't want to speak typically aren't idiots.

I said sold out, not full arena

The scholarship seats are an issue. They’ve gotta start getting filled. That arena was lit with probably ~15% of the seats empty. If we could get it totally packed out, it would be deafening in there.

MTSU beat Western Kentucky on the road. We've been fortunate with our OOC schedule.
