Yea it’s called how the media spins it. That’s the difference. Why do you believe one player over another player or one coach over another- because your brainwashed to listen to ‘writers’ tell you something is up and it’s bad.

You my friend are the sucker

but that doesn't make the fricking guy "soft." would you call Mason soft to his face? i don't think you would.

It does and I 100% would.

Hell, he may be softer than you. Did you watch his defense this year?

If he has done something wrong, of course it should be addressed. But as of now there is literally nothing but BS.

As for the players speaking up soft vs not soft: who would you rather your leaders be? Derrick Hall and Shenker or Smoke Monday and Lee Hunter? EXACTLY

If the stuff about his mistreating people turns out to be true, are you going to come back here and tell me that you support a football coach who berates and abuses his staff? Is that part of the "winning process"?

I don’t think anyone has said they support abuse? I think it’s just that nothing said by any of the players really implied any abuse. Why would Chandler Wooten, literally gone from the team, defend an abusive coach?

If Harsin abused people frick him. But no evidence has been presented and he’s been a coach for 9 seasons.

I don’t think he’s a great coach but I’ve seen nothing to indicate he’s abusive besides some people saying he’s hard to work with

I hope you are right, but I watched us lose games this season that were inexcusable. I also watched mediocre recruiting and little to show we were addressing areas of need.

But for me, the personnel issues were and remain the biggest red flag. Two OC's fired in this time should worry everyone.

I hoped Harsin could be successful here, but the actual data was not encouraging. And say what you will, but all these rumors breaking now make it clear that many of the powers do not support him.

That is a pretty shite situation.

If Harsin is the HC after all this, I hope he wins. My point is that these issues make it that much harder for him to achieve program building goals.

I don't need to read what someone else wrote to know Harsin sucks. Don't need to hear what any players say either. His hires and recruiting are not up to snuff. Simple. Whatever it takes to stop the bleeding.

Oh and the last 6 games speak for themselves. Don't remind me Bo got hurt, other teams lose QBs but don't lose out. Plus he transfered so he must be soft anyways, right?

Well you left off Chandler Wooten so it’s basically 2 defensive leaders and a offensive starters word vs 2 defensive leaders and an offensive starters word (plus Lee hunter)

Sure it is. But my point is that personnel leaving in droves suggests that the issue is more than players leaving because they are "soft" and don't want to work. Derek Mason didn't leave because he's some sort of pussy.

Not sured id bash Smoke. He actually gave some quality feedback that Harsin is not currently effective at connecting with players from certain background

The Hunter(?) Kid saying Harsin sucks as a person just isn't helpful

Tank was a millisecond away from leaving and had to be paid to stay. Period. He got an NIL deal to calm him down.

Yeah, one of the top 3 RBs in the SEC couldn't have gotten an NIL deal anywhere else.

shite, he could have parlayed Harsin's s abuse into a national anti-bullying campaign and made bank.

This was posted elsewhere, but it mirrors what I had been hearing even before this rumor blew up last night:

quote:

Some disclaimers to start: I will not be commenting on Bryan Harsin’s family, family matters, or relationships. I do not like or believe what is being said right now is right as we cannot confirm anything with regard to his personal life. Everything I am about to post is second hand knowledge - although the first part has essentially been verified as 100% true by people who work in an official capacity with Auburn football daily. The other parts are things I believe to be true based on what those people have said but cannot prove or substantiate. I am leaving out anything I believe to be rumor or 50% or greater likelihood of being untrue.

Right now, players are going to be very split on what is happening as every person has a different background or experiences. So I will mainly focus on his competency and the things he has done that have led to the current state of Auburn football.

Things I feel comfortable saying are a 100% fact:

- Upon taking the job at Auburn, Bryan Harsin lied to former coaches after promising some of them opportunities to interview. Overall, he treated everyone as a second rate person and his onboarding was turbulent from the very beginning.

- Bryan Harsin works a lot - but not to create meaningful relationships, motivate staff, support, or the fanbase. He misses very important events and sends assistants to do his facetime. In essence, he treats the job as if he is too good for the job.

- Bryan Harsin has made enemies in every office he interacts with

- Bryan Harsin believes the way he did football in Idaho is superior to the way football is done in the south

- Bryan Harsin has lied about many things that affect the team and people who count on him

- The BOT, by and large, never wanted him and still do not

- Bryan Harsin has actively been trying to find another job and he is essentially unhireable (and has been for months)

Things I believe to be true based on the facts above:

- Former players, and some current players, have some things to do with all of the drama

- Lack of recruiting has some things to do with current players

- Loss of coaches has to do with the way Harsin carries himself as a man and coach

- Abuse of players goes far beyond “yelling” and moves into actual abuse territory (physical, emotional, etc)

- Harsin has allowed his Boise crew to undermine and cut the legs from underneath coordinators in public ways

- Harsin acts bipolar or narcissistic some days (not a diagnoses)

- Harsin does not listen to the people around him in any way, shape, or form and believes he is better than most anyone involved with Auburn (doesn’t like people from the south)

- Every coaching staff in the SEC knows and has known that Bryan Harsin‘s tenure at Auburn is an absolute dumpster fire waiting to explode and has been from day 1 based on THEIR interactions with him and how he speaks to people around the league

FURTHER:

As of last night Bryan Harsin was a dead man walking. He is fighting back right now and making it a public battle - why? He wants his 20 million and, to be quite honest, that’s all he ever wanted. What will happen? No clue. I still think he leaves the program and finds himself unemployable shortly afterward.

His original hires and S&C program were horrible, his interactions with coaches were horrible, his recruiting was horrible and getting worse, and he was getting ready to take vacation out of country on and around signing day this year. He needs to be gone. He isn’t an ”alpha.”

This is no reflection on his family or him as a family man - i refuse to comment on that and honestly dont know enough to comment either way.
