Deshaun not getting invited is bullshite... and he was on their “watchlist” before the season started.

If you don’t think he’s got the measureables, that’s fine... then don’t put him on your preseason watch list... all he did during the year was kill it damn near every week... it’s not like his height/weight was gonna change in 3 months.

Well said. Davis only finished AP 1st team All SEC. That should speak for itself.

Deshaun should have been in no doubt about it, Ryan not so much. RD broke AU records blah, blah, blah, but he isn't going to be an every down WR in the NFL. Deshaun will play, probably start for many years and make thousands of tackles.

I expect DD to be announced in the coming days. Not everyone initially invited will attend.

He may get picked up,but DD isn’t alternate material. He should’ve already secured an invitation.

Thats just a dumb assessment. He can run routes, catch, is great in space, has speed etc.

He could be the best WR to come out of Auburn

Ryan is a talented WR, but no where close to the best to come out of Auburn.

LINK

Jim Nagy, the Senior Bowl director commented and basically said it's because he's undersized and they're trying to put an emphasis on getting the best possible NFL prospects to draw as many scouts as they can. Also said LB was already the deepest position this year and they're adding JR graduates too, so spots were even harder to come by than past years.

BUT, he also said that they held onto 14 invitations that haven't been sent out yet, and Deshaun might still get one of those.

Im actually the opposite on the 2. I see RD having a better career. Deshaun is undersized, slow, and a bit stiff compared to today's NFL LBs.

Watch Vander Esch play for the Cowboys. He's 6'4 250 and moves like a RB. Matter fact I'm sure his 40 time is better than a couple of our RBs.

Davis is a tackling machine in a box but the NFL game might not suit him very well.

RD on the other hand has Antonia Bryant talent in the right offense.

We held RD back and it's a shame.

So who is? Auburn hasn't been spewing with NFL WR talent up to this point in our history.
At the very least he's definitely close to the best, if not the best (which I believe he is).

If RD were to get picked up by the Pat's or Chiefs, he would absolutely tear shite up as a slot guy. He is almost perfect to take over a Wes Welker or Edelmann role for an offense like the Pat's run. Hell, he could line up in the backfield and wreck shop in their screen game. Dude is pretty versatile when it comes to ways to get him the ball in space. Auburn just didn't do it very well this year. Watch the film from last years IB. He made folks look silly.

ETA: I'm in no way saying he'd be the best ever. There's no way to really know that. But to say he can't have a prominent role on an NFL team is selling him short IMO.

Ryan Davis tried his best for us and made some nice plays.

The crop of WRs that will play over the next few years with Bo will make us forget everybody except Terry Beasley.
