I could not read the whole Scarbo article (paywall) but something in there about Wimp Sanderson asking Scarbo on-air if he thought this would be Saban's last year at Bama. Scarbo then wondering aloud if Wimp knows something.

Think Saban has a year maybe 2 left. But even if they beat us 99-0 you see the cracks and the decline coming.

What cracks? They always lose a game, they have turned Milroe from Robby 2.0 into a pretty damn qb and he’s only a sophomore.

They've remained good. But they have clearly dropped off over the years in terms of domination

All the elite programs have copied them. It’s tougher for them to be quite as dominate but as long as Saban is in charge they will be top 5 program every year. So from top 2 to top 5, if you want to say decline then that’s fine.

Yeah if they end up beating UGA and even getting in the playoffs, it will be Saban's best coaching job at Bama imo. After the UTx loss and the USF game, it could have went really sideways for them. But they've gotten better every game to where they're playing as good as anyone right now.

I dont think so. Georgia and Ohio State have just gotten better.
They are still overall the best program. His recruiting is still sick AF.

Saban did act weird after he got back from the Vatican. Maybe the visit changed him?

My wife keeps updating me on the Saban wealth train. Multi Million dollar home in Florida recently bought. Two new car dealerships, Mercedes and one other ....If not this year dang close ....

I would think if they have known for 5+ weeks some movement has already happened behind the scenes to secure the next HC.

I'm still convinced he got tired of the new Super SEC and possibly more to come. The 12 team playoff system. Players making more than some of the position coaches due to NIL and finally the transfer portal.
