I really don't understand why this is needed. You have the sec rant and the recruiting boards to mingle. That's two boards, so why even have this one, if you're going to do this.
Some of us (like myself,Ellitoretc) only post here, because we don't care for the back & forth.
Also, not that some care....I bet some AU fans might leave all together.

Honestly, I think most of the Bama fans will stay off our board and there won't be back and forth. Most days, they don't have stuff to talk about with us. The only times I see them being on here is if they want to ask us a question and or they have something to contribute

I am glad some of you have developed friendships with bama fans on the other boards but I don't care. They may be your buddies but they don't belong here.

They aren't my buddies, they are people with information that would be nice to have. Just like if we added an additional Auburn fan that had recruiting information and provided it.
This is purely to experiment with benefiting the board by giving more info from a perspective we don't hear.
I do not want to "hang out" / talk with Bama fans. I usually stay off the rant/Recruiting boards for that reason

And personally that's what the SEC recruiting board is for. You can just ignore the stupid MSU/Tenn/Arky posters and pay attention to what guys like Magilla say over there, no real reason to have them post the same stuff here IMO.

I was here from before team boards and thought they were one of the best parts of this. I remember when we had to sit in the recruiting board to talk AU because we didn't want to be flamed. I remember before the SECr even started. So stop playing that "you weren't here long enough" bullshite
You would be naive to say that team boards were created due to EVERY other team's posters. If that was the case, there would be a strict no admission policy to any other fan base. Yet we have people from other fan bases on this board and nearly every other board does.
To argue that there are not quality ALabama posters who can restrain themselves from flaming and be contributors like most of the regular posters ont his board is absurd.
I would say that a number of the guys I suggested would be higher quality posters than myself

Your arguments are invalid. You want us to change simply because you are too lazy to seek out the info you want. I could not care less about any Bama fan's opinion on recruiting or football. If you want these opinions, you go search for them.

I follow their posts just fine. I mean seriously TT, thesystem, capstone, these guys have been major flamers since I've been on the board before the 2010 season. Trey as well. And most importantly, they don't bring any insight into anything for Auburn.
Magilla on the other hand definitely would, he's a great poster and fairly unbiased.
And having a bazillion posts in these threads doesn't make your opinion more valid than anyone elses, it just means you have a big mouth in message board terms.
We all spend a crapload of time on these boards, whether it's folks who have lots of useful info like Ellitor, Gene, KK, AM, or Jonesy, or mostly lurkers like myself.
We would all be effected equally. And the huge issue you are going to have is as soon as these posters get on this board bickering will happen between them and folks that can't handle non-Auburn viewpoints.
Hell, the recruiting thread is bad enough when Brannigan goes all negabarner, imagine how off topic it will get with back and forth with bama fans.
