The War Rapport has a live broadcast; Mike G said it was a matter of Hugh Freeze trying to protect the culture at Auburn. Lots of borderline abusive language, he was not well liked among the staff or players. The situation in the locker room was “untenable”. Would not be surprised if he is the main reason Keionte has flirted with the portal.

Sounds like Kiffin is the top choice and Arnett is a very, very good backup plan. Personally I prefer Arnett. I just think he’s a really good defensive coach. Don’t love the 3-3-5 in the SEC but he (like basically everyone) primarily ran a 4-2-5. Kiffin is an elite recruiter though and calls an aggressive defense. I’m more than happy with either one.

Feels like this whole off-season has been chaos so far. Maybe that’s to be expected with a coach just completing his first year in a portal/NIL/player retention environment but damn…

I get it. It feels a lot like 2021 when we finished with an identical overall and conference record, and turned over both coordinator positions.
However, it feels different for a few reasons. First, we have a top 10 recruiting class coming in. Harsin and company had no idea how to recruit. Second, Freeze is actively trying to develop culture at Auburn, not make the culture all about him.
