You are touting him up on a game in which he, yet again, couldn't get us into the endzone?

Let's not forget, he didn't know what down it was against TAMU. The dude is a mental mistake waiting to happen, and what killed JJ, not his physical ability, but mental mistakes. It's more than a minimal risk taking the team from Sean who has the teams 100% support and earned the starting job and giving to a guy who has proven nothing.

Thanks for your input Mr. White.

With White we aren't going to be able to line up and run it at them and we don't have the OL to block them consistently or the WR to win in man coverage against them.

It's not like we are taking the Greatest Show on Turf passing game off the field for Franklin. Even with White we are below mediocre as a passing offense.

And you think our OL is going to magically begin opening up massive holes against good teams when we have next to no threat to pass the ball? If we start Franklin, we will either score in 3 plays or punt in 3. I'll let you guess which happens more often.

It's as if some of you have no idea how football works.

We beat bama in 2013 with basically a JFIII offense. Marshall was great in the run game and could throw it deep.

Granted the OL was better in 2013 but the defense was much worse.

OL was much better and Marshall is a vastly better passer than Franklin.

You think it's a total coincidence every year we've had a mobile QB under Gus our OL has looked infinitely better?

A mobile QB changes everything.

I also love how you assume Franklin can't throw at all. The pass he threw to Craig yesterday was a better pass than Sean White has ever thrown in his career here.

I'll take my chances. Right now we don't score at all against real teams.

If our defense continues to improve and keep teams under 20 points, I don't know if it is worth taking out SW.

We won't win a shootout with SW against a decent team, but our defensive play allows us to throw out a game manager and win

I am going to disagree with you here Sigma. And I usually agree with you.

JF3 is no Marshall and not even close. Marshall had the mental making of a God. JF3 is a hissy fit waiting to happen.

Our offense in 2013 was basically unstoppable. All the pieces were there. Plus the play calling was unbelievably simple. Which is needed to be

Win what? 7 games? Maybe 8 if everything goes perfectly?

Sorry, I hope for more.

I'm not surprised this is all you have to say. You can't refute it with anything bc there is nothing you can say in defense of JF3's mistake bc it's inexcusable, so instead of eating crow or accepting your wrong you say something stupid. Typical.

JFIII may not have known what down it was at a meaningless time in a game that was long lost, but at least he might know where the endzone is and how to get us there.

Inexcusable, you don't want to see that regardless. It's no secret that JF3 has questions about his mental makeup and he showed us all why there.

Sean White has led more td drives than JF3

I sure would hope so, he has led a ton more drives than JF3

JF3 beating up LaMO means nothing to me though and no reason to give him significantly more snaps. I would expect any SEC backup to perform well against the cellar of the Sun Belt

Not meaningful ?

That was his moment and he blew it. How much more meaningful a time is there for a player than when he finally gets his chance to shine. Should it matter that it was in a lost cause? The reality of the moment, at least to me, was he didn't at least fall back to HS days and remember what to do with a few seconds on the clock. And he's been in three different systems/programs since then?

We should just appreciate it wasn't like Louisville's WR last night who didn't even make an honest attempt to get a 1st down

JF3 is an idiot but at least it didn't cost us a shot to win a game

Yes, our OL in 2013 was elite and Marshall was a MUCH better passer in '13 than Franklin will ever be.
