Robby didn't improve over the summer. He regressed, thinking it was his.

The TD pass to finish the first half against State is evidence. He can't throw over thee DB in that situation ...No touch ....the reason he stands on the sideline hoping Thorne goes down for a few plays .....

You just said wait until Assford tears it up at Ole Miss or something. Just blaming Auburn coaches? And the way you say Throne every time hits different. Something wrong with you.

Son told me Holden is QB2 this week.

Not sure what to make of that.

They’re not opening up the playbook for him or giving him an opportunity after he has looked better driving the offense in multiple games this season, so yes. Is what it is. And they don’t trust Throne either. That’s why I said neither need to be the QB next season.

Yeah, if Thorne was immobile I’d understand putting him in, still. It turns out Throne’s a better rusher than he is a passer.

We don't have a true passer ....That having been said .....We don't have an offensive line either. Better than last year ....but not near the caliber needed to battle with the big guys or the middle tier.

They work with what they have. More recruiting needed to climb another step.

Did Ashford share the snaps with the ones? I doubt that. If he didn't .....he is done. He didn't get better, didn't expand his game ......regressed. Then his ego took him to the floor. Once again, Ashford throws like a HS Quarterback, thinking every pass has to break through two block walls. Most often .....you need to throw like you are not trying to break a pane of glass ...10 yard passes have to be on target, yet not bullets. Receivers have a hard time dealing with those.

On top of all that .....someone needs to take over as offensive coach and stop the experiments.

Over on OT they are discussing Christmas movies and someone mentioned Miracle on 34th Street and Jville chimed in "You know that movie was about Ashford".

I agree Robby hasn’t acted like an idiot this year. Has seem composed on the sidelines and I’m sure he’s disappointed.

However he has an entire podcast to actually like an idiot for him

Noticed that also. He may see the writing on the wall and get his degree and bolt. Not sure how much he has left to do but he has choices that have consequences. Hope he makes the best one for him and what he wants to be.

I just don't think it will be the starter unless he works on himself, skills etc...a lot.

From
What I understand from most talking heads he won’t graduate until June.

Also Holden has been QB2 the past 2 weeks not just last week

Commentators two games ago, made a comment that Ashford and Thorne were put head to head .....one afternoon to make the grade or not. Ashford failed. So, if you sit him down one on one and reason with him ....."You add speed at receiver that we don't have. That redshirt is burned, yet we still need your athletic ability for an advantage ....." Who knows, sometimes a path to the NFL is created from thin air .. a hero is born though he was in the wrong position to start.
