When SEC teams lose to CUSA teams who already have losses to Liberty, UMass and Hawaii a hard look needs to be taken at the program to see if changes are needed.

1. The heart of the problem is Auburn’s roster is not that much better and honestly if that game was played 10 times NMSU wins six or seven of them. NMSU would have also beat Arkansas, Miss State and Vandy.

2. Freeze did a terrible job but he is in year one and other than our pride and possible recruiting there will not be long term effect from this game. If this was year 5 coming off of several 4 to 5 loss seasons then fire the coach but for now we just hope Hugh will improve this part of his game.

Well said. They were so much better and more cohesive. They were a real team. They weren't a collection of guys there for their checks.

The players were flat as they could be against inferior talent. Our coaches didn't have an answer either.

You can’t make chicken salad out of chicken crap…. This is a total rebuild with a roster of non D 1 players for the largest part, Hugh has 2 full recruiting cycles to turn the ship in the right direction. 1/2 of this team will not be here next fall

Saban didn't lose by three touchdowns, at home, to LA Monroe.

Saban had decent talent out the gate.

Check it out here.

idiotic take. That program has never won against a power 5 school since its inception, yet they would line up against Auburn 10 times and whoop us 60 to 70 percent of the time. fricking laughable. They beat us because we didnt take them seriously and overlooked them and played like shite. Once we got behind we pressed and we got fricking drowned by the pressure. Outcoached, outplayed and out hearted.

Yeah that was interesting. Even when their QB bodyslammed our guy it was conveniently negated by an offsetting "hold"

18 flags in 1 half is absolutely absurd.

That team lost with 4 turnovers in 07. Turnovers is a must against Saban. Hugh once got 5 against Saban.

We got skull dragged and didn't have a single turnover.

It was an arse whipping. Time to move on. Stop blaming because that list is endless.

Only grand scheme thing affected by this is that we are probably a 7-5 team that will finish 6-6

I am not blaming anybody for anything. What are you talking about? Im explaining we got a real beatdown that didn't require turnovers.

I am tired of hearing about ULM.

This is an absolute joke.

You should take a look at NMSU's schedule and who they've beaten and lost against. This isn't some juggernaut program. Just two weeks ago they barely squeaked out a 13-7 win against a 4-7 Middle Tennessee team. They lost by double digits to the same UMASS team that we demolished.

No, they wouldn't beat all of those SEC teams. We just embarrassed ourselves and let a team that should never beat us walk into our stadium and control the game from the first possession. They are not that good, and nothing on their record prior to them playing us indicates that they are that good.

Yup, it's a complete misnomer.

Look at the actual box score of that game. Bama turned the ball over 4 times, forced 0 turnovers, and lost by one score. Bama had nearly 150 more offensive yards in that game. Their kicker even missed his lone attempt.

They beat themselves with turnovers. That is VERY different from what you just witnessed yesterday. We lost by 21 points in a game wherein we didn't even turn the ball over once. We simply got manhandled from the first snap of the game to the last.

Anyone with even a modicum of football knowledge knows that if you go -4 in the turnover column, anyone can beat you. ULM doesn't beat Bama without those turnovers. Again, this is drastically different from NMSU outright throttling us with inferior talent.
