I could see us beating either A&M or Ole Miss. Not necessarily predicting wins but very possible.

It is a fluid situation, but I dont.

On paper we are just as talented as Ole Miss, but it seems they have the talent where it matters. They also already have an identity and a bye week before they play us. Now I believe that bye week was stregically placed by design because they knew how important this game would be with Freeze versus Kiffin.

Us winning two in a row against A&M:
I really dont see it plus their QB has been playing some good football.

I don’t know why everyone keeps saying that about the Ole Miss bye week.

That schedule was set early last fall, long before Harsin was fired, Freeze was hired and Kiffin was even mentioned as a potential hire for Auburn.

Possibly? Maybe. Either way, it worked out for them.

Not intending to be obtuse, but we could go 0-4 or 4-0. I think that's how this season is turning out to be for everyone. ATM, I have us putting together a complete game to beat tamu away, uga at JHS will be a GAME, crazy shite always happens with LSU (and uga), and Ole Miss seems to be the most consistent and steadiest quality team atm. No idea how these 4 will play out at the moment - will have to be a week by week thing with injuries and momentum, cohesion or implosion from all these teams to come. Will be fun tho!

ETA now that I am reading through the thread, what Chex said. Inb4 I am dickriding CHex, but he's right on all points.

ETA - I'm feeling posi and say we somehow go 3-1. If we go 1-3 or 0fer I'll eat my crow. Just a feeling. Keep the faith Fam, and if you don't have it, get it or GTFO. Told ya'll during Cal. Just find a way to win. We're still batting 1000 and I like this team.

The only injury that should affect the future is Deal.

I don't think this is a big deal. I haven't been impressed with his play, and seems like a good guy and team leader which he can do very well from the sideline, but we have a very deep TE room and will give others opportunities and someone will step up. I think we'll be close to full strength hopefully (Stutts unknown) for tamu. BTW, any info on tamu's injury status?

You are the one scared of betting while defending a loser that is constantly wrong. You bet and the bet does the talking. That's how it works.

Did you learn anything when you went to Auburn? You certainly did not learn how to post coherently.

Chex is freaking out about our bruises while Freeze is playing our injuries down. Maybe you should read your que cards right.

Depends on who those games are against. We had some guys banged up / injured who were held out of Samford but would have played against tamu.

We could go "4-0 or 0-4."

Here is your twin.

I can’t tell if you’re too low on us or too high on the other teams.

Don’t get me wrong, you can predict 0-4 and I won’t think it’s an unreasonable opinion while I do view a 4-0 or 3-1 prediction as completely unreasonable.

But the way you posed that question comes off as 1-3 is completely unreasonable. Neither A&M or Ole Miss is very good. I don’t really think LSU is all that good either but I do give them more benefit of the doubt.

(Caveat all this by saying i didn’t watch as much of this game as I would’ve liked to) The idea that A&M is any better than last year seems to stem from the QB. I don’t really know how good A&Ms QB is. Miami game is the only game I’d use to judge him. 31-53 336 yds 2 TDs 2 INTs. The yardage makes it look impressive but Miami isn’t exactly what I think of as a loaded defense and he threw the ball 53 times…That completion % is not impressive granted he had 6 yards per completion. So that leaves me skeptical of the hype around their QB. Defense also seems suspect.

For Ole Miss, I did get to watch the Tulane game. They were getting bullied for about 3 QTRs on the line. Didn’t get to watch any of the GT game. Think they beat us but if we can play solid defense we got a shot.

To me overall, if you have a good to possibly great offense but a suspect defense, you can potentially be beaten on any given week. Whereas if you have a defense that’s good to potentially great, you hang around in games you shouldn’t be able to.

That’s really where “defense wins championships” comes from. Then the juggernaut offenses came along and made that statement a little more iffy but still relevant.

TLDR I know.
