I knew for a fact he threw three I was just questioning where the turnover prone comment would come from based on that?
I’m fine with Malik or Arnold. Get one of them.

E posted on the fam. I am sure Smurphy will chime in. But, we couldn't locked MM in.

Maybe he also got some NIL money for sticking with us since Hunter is gone.
That’s quickly becoming our go to rational and it’s proving false.

I just heard Charlie 5 say he was turnover prone at OU because of bad O-line play.
Well that’s a crock of shite
ETA: hmmmmm he did have 9 fumbles this year losing 5 of them.

His turnovers were primarily fumbles. This is a better problem to have than poor decision making on passes. Fumbles mean he has to be more aware of hits, and hopefully you can protect him better. This is a much more fixable problem than a QB who can't read a defense and throws picks.
Every QB in this conference needs good OL play. If you think there is some magical QB out there who will play amazing with a bad OL, you're going to be very disappointed. Even Cam Newton and Nick Marshall had extremely strong OL's. Auburn has to get better OL play regardless of who we bring in at QB.

I'm sure that's what the spin says.

How is that proving false?
Alston isn’t leaving (as far as we know) and we have no idea how much he gets paid.

I suppose that’s what he was referring to. I never said he threw picks.

Guess you weren’t here for ESD. That excuse was used a bunch and nothing came from it regarding the flips.

FoxSports is the only free stat tracker that I know that covers fumbles as well and the site says he had 9 total fumbles, losing 5 last year.

Second podcaster I have heard say this, he had 3 ints this season, what am I missing?
Ah you guys answered it for me.
He fumbled some, he was getting the shat beat out of him back there, thats not his fault.

I was but I don’t know how any of that relates to saying maybe Alston got paid a little more since Jarquez is gone?
You’re acting like we’re making an excuse for a guy that’s staying?

I believe he fumbled 9 times and lost 5 of those.
Again, that means you just grill him on holding the ball more securely and being more aware of defenders hitting you. He was a 1st year starter, this isn't a 5th year Senior who has a fumbling problem.

I wasn’t talking about Alston and I never said I was. I was just saying that’s excuse has been tossed around lately in regards to getting other players/paying more to others.

Malik’s comments seem to indicate the same.
Going home to think. Liked it. No more visits planned.
You’d think if it was his option, he’d be visiting somewhere else. But you also never know.

Some of that is his fault

We just need to hope he isnt that careless if he plays with us.

Thanks Weagle, thats pretty amazing.
That was my question, they can announce by the 28th, they dont have to interview etc til after the playoffs, take their time, its just hitting the announcement window that would make things awkward.

You responded to a convo about Alston saying that was our go to rationale.
But whatever. Doesn’t matter.

Our coaches showed they know how to coach fumbles out of people right? Surely we didn’t have like 15 fumbles at the beginning of the season right?? Right???
