If you think Arnold and White are comparable then sure. But there are levels to ability. Arnold has those. White doesn’t “yet”. All potential for White.
Arnold with a good OL and some WRs his freshman season threw for 340 yards in the bowl game and came into spring as a “super star” in the making. A crap OL and no healthy WRs was the reason he was benched.
So if you feel Arnold and White are equals then that’s your take. No one else thinks that.

If some of you guys don’t think Walker White was smart to get away from Hugh Freeze then you aren’t paying attention.

None of the coaches that have proven they can develop a QB showed any interest in White. Some of you, and White himself, act like he transfered to Baylor with Art Briles still there. With our WR room with more experience, and what has to be an improved line, I don't see how Arnold can't be better than what we had. Freeze has seen hours of practice, and hundreds of reps to have a solid idea of what he had in White.
White ran from competition. Not sure that's a desired quality in a QB. Seems to me Freeze wasn't the only one who saw enough of White to know he wouldn't win the job.

If that’s the case why didn’t he renter the day the portal opened? He waited until he saw who Auburn brought in and realized he was going to have a tough time beating out DK after Arnold leaves.
I’ve been saying this, no more Arkansas qb’s they never pan out. We are 0-3 from that state now.

Time will tell but let’s just stop with the excuses about QBs having a bad year and blaming on supporting staff. I agree all things can contribute to poor QB results but until a QB shows they can perform consistently…then they are an unknown when it comes to execution in a game. Yea he may dominate 7x7 or camps or have flashes in a couple great games but I’ll take a proven winner over potential. Arnold is potential. Hopefully he figures how to be a winner and deliver during clutch plays. This is what we have been missing in coaching and players

So what was the excuse with Thorne? I have no idea if WW is or will be a good QB. And I hope JA is the answer we're all looking for next year. But you can't blame anyone for lack of faith in Freeze's QB management to this point.

No excuse for Thorne. Thorne did what was expected of him. He plays the game he is benched he finishes the season with 3000 yards, 25 TDs, 9 INTs. Prior to the season any Auburn fan would have taken those numbers.
Hell I will take those numbers from Jackson Arnold right now for next season.

I believe you are both correct. Its 5 days after you last game, to enter your name. However, there is up to 48 hours for the paperwork to be officially listed.

Neither have given any on field results that show they’re a clear cut QB1. They both are former 5* DT QBs with potential. Arnold was benched last season, and White couldn’t beat out one of the worst QB rooms in the country. Neither should give anyone confidence that they’ll live up to their ranking at this point.
