Of course the NCAA can diminish all of this by bringing back the one year sit down after transfer rule if there are no mitigating circumstances, but they are spineless.

They have no teeth anymore. Anyone and everyone would bring a lawsuit if they tried to make changes. What will have to happen is a coalition of coaches, ADs, university presidents, and the like come up with a solution for individual institutions such as salary caps, transfer rules and eligibility for their school, but have to have all the big schools be in accord.

Wiltfong and Nakos just logged a prediction for CJ Daniels to Miami.

I wonder if that implies Singleton and Horatio Fields to AU.

Nah they dont really have contracts. Kaden Proctor got NIL at Iowa just to leave shortly after.

Trust me on this. They have agents and contracts. Neither entity wants to expose $$$ amounts so they agree to just cut ties if one breaks the contract.

Eventually someone’s uncle that is acting as a agent will burn it all down

Would love both these. The young guys would definitely get the message. Keep getting better nothing is being given.

Fields would be a secret gem in that room and hope he gets the fanfare he deserves. Big physical fricking WR

That kind of business doesnt even make sense. Why pay kids as professionals while allowing them to act 12?

Because they know it's for the (over-all) good of the sport.

NFL has real contracts that have been adjudicated through arbiters and the players association.

NFL can cut a player and not receive another dime promised unless there was guaranteed money involved

They aren’t paid lump sums in general. Maybe a “signing bonus” but for the most part they are paid by the month and taxes are taken out from OTV. Similar to 1099 contractor

None of that matters to me. If a team wants Cam Coleman they should be offering up the remainder of Cam Coleman's contract to OTV and then they can pay Cam whatever he wants afterwards.

I don’t like any of it but it is what it is until there are some rules and regulations around NIL. Revenue sharing, transfers. I’m assuming revenue sharing information will have to be made available to the public in some way since it will be funding from a public university

Had we overpaid for Offord no way we get all the transfers we end up with. Maybe that was the right move?
