Gaskin is a good depth add. Feels like we are getting smoked at CB, OL and DE though. Just not much traction going on for those spots yet. Hopefully they get the rest of the USF guys in tonight, there's no reason it should go past today, and start working on some higher level players.

If we don’t get good news on BB soon, I’m holding all you people responsible. Make this happen.

Coulda been cheaper just to buy a bunch of AU fans USF season tickets and airfare.

Think that was another poster that likes to remind us when they’re right and bury the evidence when they’re not

I mean I guess one advantage is that this staff knows what the USF players were paid and knows exactly what to offer

OL is my big concern. USF’s best skill guys (still somewhat of a concern) behind a poor OL gives me the sads.

Seems the toughest part of this transition is who is going to be roommates

We definitely NEED to knock it out of the park. 4-6 quality starters and a few depth pieces. Going to be interesting

we’ve had decent QB’s just a for shite online as evidenced by Bo No. whatever quarterback leaving to make the NFL

BB would be ok but ‘d rather get a few all star O’linemen if it comes to dollars.

I'm just wondering if BB doesn't come, who the hell is our QB next year? I think I saw us sign the USF backup. Is that really the only QB we will have on the roster at the moment?

It’s like going to a hotel room with Kobe Bryant, it’s going to happen

Him the OK St and the JMU guy all left without committing. They said nice words as they we're leaving, but if history is any indicator, when they leave without a commitment they aren't coming. Everyone else we have been mentioned for was a back up last year, unless I'm missing someone. I'm honestly surprised more people aren't talking about that right now.

No surprise here:

quote:

Sources tell On3 that Ole Miss is the team to watch in this recruitment. It had been rumored that Knight could potentially take a visit to Oxford on Tuesday, but sources have said that will not happen as Ole Miss travels to Phoenix for the College Football Playoff semifinals against Miami.

The current plan is to bring Knight in for a visit to Ole Miss in the near future. The Rebels’ quarterback room could be in flux in 2026. Starting quarterback Trinidad Chambliss has agreed to a deal to return to Ole Miss next season, pending his NCAA eligibility waiver being granted. It’s unclear which direction this will go in.

Regardless, Ole Miss is prioritizing Knight as its transfer portal quarterback target. He has a relationship with head coach Pete Golding and members of the Rebels’ staff from his high school recruitment. Ole Miss was arguably the top competitor with Auburn when he flipped from Notre Dame. Knight is a Lucedale, Mississippi native.
