Hopefully it is just a negotiating issue.

Thought he was in the portal? Guess not.

Check back in another hour. It could happen.

For some of the guys, it absolutely is. Some were told to go, some aren't happy and are going, and some are in active negotiations and want to be able to see what the market value for them is. Same thing happened with guys last year.

Especially when he convinced the PTB to give him a $1 million raise to stay so he could retain the roster

Did Amaris sign out of HS without visiting?

I think so. He also said he was going into the portal last year around this time and then recanted like 4-5 days later.

We could use a Cam Coleman I'm Staying Home Rally going into the Bama game tonight.

Does the staff know anything about strategerie?

He met with them like a week ago.. you would think if he was staying you would have heard by now or at least be really close to it.

After hearing about this new NIL structure though I don't see why he would stay. Take less money on a rebuilding team or go to a playoff team and get guaranteed money. Maybe he just really loves Auburn though.

Either the staff will bring in 4 and 5 star depth at QB, OT, Edge, OLB, and CB or they will be getting paid a workable buy out in 3 years.

Hard to believe they wouldn't be aware of this.

There will be no avoiding awkward financial situations with 4 and 5 star busts.

There’s no way they are cutting pay Cam Coleman. Other teams may be offering, but I’m sure Auburn’s offer is highly competitive. It’s going to come down to if he wants to be at Auburn.

If the whole point of their system to be make things equal and fair, give a base pay and then make them earn most of their NIL in incentives... wouldn't giving Cam a special contract that doesn't follow those rules kind of go against their whole system? I'm sure with incentives its as much as anyone is offering him, but for a guaranteed amount? I'm not as confident in that anymore.

Hoke said something about there would be a few being given extra generous paychecks.

I imagine players like Cam, Riddick, and Deuce are in this category.

Xavier: incentive based pay.

Yea, I mean the incentive based idea goes both ways. If a guy has been outperforming, they are probably getting a raise. I'm sure Atkins got a nice raise.

NIL can't be based on incentives, that's against the rules. The point of the Hoke article was that people that sit on the bench shouldn't make big money. Those that produce (ie Cam Coleman, Atkins) make the big bucks.
