I dont see how smaller schools have fans. North Texas just had prolly their best season and was one of the best Offense in the nation. As soon as they finished their bowl game their QB, RB, and WR1 entered the portal. The timing seems that they wouldn't even consider staying. Im sure they will get paid. They were all 3 Fr or RSFr. All 3 ended as All-American and the QB was a walk-on this year. I wonder how much is talent and how much is the scheme. I cant imagine UNT scouts seen not 1 but 3 all Americans that the whole country overlooked

I would bet in two years Marchese and Deshaun Spencer will have more than 154 yards in receptions, and they cost us combined less than a third of what Perry was costing in his sophomore year. So yes we can replace some cheaper.
Its not being cheap, its being smart in how we allocate dollars.
I know its frustrating now because kids are leaving and we cant do anything til the portal opens.
But for goodness sake, we are going to war and some of you cant even go to the 7-11 for a six pack, much less get prepared for the ensuing storm

In 2 years its just as likely they won't be on the roster. I don't see anyone complaining about Perry though. We are complaining about losing starters and contributors.

TT, u may be a loon. I’m definitely not melting, only responding to a post about the fact we are losing contributors which is accurate. Im sure we’ll fill holes with competent players, but not all all guys we bring it will be contributors or as good as ones that are leaving, that’s just reality.
Also, u have no clue about cost so quit with the shtick.

Amaris is talented as hell. The numbers don't reflect that right now, but he has the skill set to get 7-8 sacks next year. Remember Crawford had 0 sacks last year and 5.5 this year along with a boatload of pressures. I think his jump is coming and it would be a shame to see him get those numbers elsewhere.

BB, Deuce, Cobb, Cam, ESJ, Lew, Ellis, JSmith, JJ Faulk, DSmith, Autry, Crawford, X, Melendez, Riddick, Deas, Godby, Winters, Fagans and McPherson.
That is a great core group of players to build from. Supplement them with win now players at our biggest needs(OL, CB, DL, Buck/Edge, TE) and we have a ton of money to spend with cutting some serious loose ends.

Amaris didn’t seem like a good fit at Auburn since he stepped foot on campus. I’m surprised he stayed as long as he did. To fret over someone who didn’t seem to even want to be here, seems like fools gold but I think Crawford is a different story. He genuinely thinks he can get paid like a top CB1, so we’ll see. I think there is an outside chance he could come back, like some others have mentioned

Love you guys, but its apparent, a few of us like 24 and meta have been through some corporate RIFs in our past.

Why do you think I started fishing for a living with a engineering degree.
After the 2nd time, I was out
Though mine were not truly RIF's, they were relocations.

Dylan Senda to the portal.

Not only spending appropriately but I think Golesh is going to shock some fans at his recruiting efforts. Luck is when preparation meets opportunity

I meant Keyron Crawford not Jay Crawford lol Amaris showed significant improvement and looks poised for a breakout year in my opinion. He and every kid on this roster wants to make the morr cash. the days of some "Auburn man" fantasy are over. I'm willing to forgive how immature Amaris was when he first showed up if he has a great year.

Is transferring credits easier than in the 1980s?

I don’t think Senda went to Kansas, but I could be wrong there.
He signed with NW out of HS and transferred to Auburn after a semester when Pat Fitzgerald was canned
Makes me think he might be headed to Michigan State

I know you meant Keyron but Amaris was going to leave after this season no matter what we did. Why fret over someone who doesn’t want to be here?

I’d like to keep Amaris, but he’s gonna portal every season
