Good time for it.

Glad to see Pettway look like himself in the second half even though it was Arkie. With the open date, he should be good to go for the stretch.

Should get Tray back also and he is needed.

Confident against TAMU.

Bama is very good. Have not watched UGA at all, but they do have a freshman QB. (50/50 chance). Gus’ job maybe riding on this one.

If we somehow go 9-2 in the regular season, we can see what happens in the Iron Bowl. I will be very upset about the two we lost. No excuse for LSU loss.

IMHO if we go 8-4 he should be gone.

The bye week takes away all the excuses for banged up players and gives time to work on any tweaks for Amen corner. He should be watching film and getting ready for all of their looks. If Gus gets out coached by anyone else or fails to make adjustments then he needs to go sooner than later. ATM is going to come in hungry and Sumlin fighting for his job. I don't believe Gus can prepare and adjust to win UGA and ATM and it will be the defense that saves his arse.

I will be honest, forgot how much fun it is to watch Pettway run when "healthy". HIs problem early on in the season is he couldn't change directions as quickly with the bum foot. Saturday night you could tell he was feeling better because the burst was back. Got to 2nd level quickly and dudes just bounced off him. If KJ & Bubba are both good to go in November, could be fun to watch

Kind of how I feel. I still believe we have the talent to win in November but I don't trust Gus enough to think it will happen. Get to the Iron Bowl 9-2 and he's probably safe. Anything else and he probably is/should be in danger

There's no reason he should be in this position but he's done it to himself. Losing to UGA in 2015, UGA in 2016 & LSU this year. Win those 3 games and amazing how different his tenure would feel. Wouldn't be perfect but a 7-6 record vs top 3 rivals is MUCH better than current 4-9

We will go 8-4 or possibly 7-5.

Signed-
Gus

Did you see how excited the team was for him after those runs? You can tell they are pumping him up. Everyone knows his importance. That was fun to see

KJ said earlier that not being able to play has been hard on Bubba. I think it was a huge relief for everyone to see him get going. Love KJ & he's be elite this year but there's something a bit more demoralizing for defenses when Pettway is mowing them over

Having them both for November is crucial

Throw in TAMU 2014 and we'd still be calling Gustav the best HC in the SEC not named Saban. And that's even allowing the clown shows against Clemson, the bowl losses to Wisky and OU, and the blown lead in the BCSCG.

A coaching staff that is in the top 10 in salaries should find a way to win close games against clearly inferior opponents.

Bubba trucked a dude on Saturday too. Wish someone had a gif of it. I liked seeing that as much as watching him cross the goal line.

Hopefully we get Casey Dunn and Mike Horton back too.

I know Tre Williams was out there against Arky but I honestly don't remember seeing him do much. Anybody know how much he played?

He definitely was not flying around like he was at the first of the year, and he had a neck brace on. He has been the most important "onfield" coach on the defense. You could really tell those games without him.

The bye week is the perfect time to fire Jay Jacobs.
