Stuff changes with the portal players so quickly it can be right one minute and wrong 4 minutes later.

I do admittedly know more about High School guys and staff changes than the portal players.

It’s all good man. These are kids we’re talking about after all. Our ungrateful peers here don’t deserve our super secret sauces we generously share with them.

I hope you know I’m just messing with you baw.

Continue on with the sauces. Fake or otherwise. It is the thread for it.

I just find it hard to believe that all these quarterbacks have hit the portal the past two years and we either are missing on them or not trying.

Freeze was a qb guy?

You should believe it. It’s not like QB portal recruiting is the only position Freeze is getting it handed to him in the portal. We desperately need OTs and DTs too. Where are they? He admitted he doesn’t know how to play the game. Maybe that’s another reason why the Nix hire is good. He’s seen how Freshwater handles the portal.

No new picks, just updates on the 4 they have as well as 2 potential picks in the near future.

4 current picks:
Micah Dubose - Feeling even better
Alvin Henderson - Not as good about this one, but that’s just assuming losing Caddy will hurt here and not sure where he stands with Nix (or where Nix stands with him). A lot of unknowns with him.
Eric Winters - Feeling even better
Tavaris Dice - Still feel really good

2 potential picks:
Derick Smith - He’s a top priority and Marcus Davis is crushing it with him.
Matt Waldrep - Thinks bama has fallen in this one. Thinks it’s currently between AU and Clemson, with AU having a slight edge.

If a player is asking to walk-on, then the issue isnt recruiting at all.

You dont get that yet?

If you're not inclined to get one then something like the portal isnt the issue. The lack of desire has to be more of the issue. I have seen zero hints showing Freeze is trying to replace Thorne in the portal.

And quite franky, waiting until after spring would be one of his stupidest moves he could ever do.

Curious if the recruiting sites are going to remove Sayin and the other kids from their HS class rankings, or if they will consider them portal additions.

Does this read to you like we are desperate to fix the position? You obviously like this QB for whatever reason.

Not really. They heard some charlatan compare the Washington QB transferring in as another Cam Newton lite. So many Cam Newton lites everywhere.

Do you honestly think we’d be seeing these kinds of transfers if we had hired Sark, Kiffin, or Lanning?

I do hear that Sayin REALLY wants to play in the SEC. LSU/UGA are front runners in SEC but USC is obviously there too.
