We wont pull in a Ward. Maybe a cheaper KJ Jefferson which has received little interest. He would be excellent competition for Thorne but doubt it happens.

Been trying to tell yall folks. It would take 1.2-1.5m to find a quality portal QB. If you bring in a portal QB Thorne is transferring. Probably Holden as well.
So your QB room would be transfer QB, Hank, Walker.
Yes a 10-2 run could be possible if everything lined up right, we get a few breaks in games, and stay healthy. We will be young in the WR room, DL in parts of the rotation, and secondary. I would say more realistically 8-4 with possibility at 9-3 would be more realistic and I’m leaning 8-4 because our young players if they are going to play will make plenty of true freshman mistakes.
At the end of day it appears Freeze is ok with the QB room. It we can’t operate anything in the spring it’s possible they might try the late window. I think currently we only have like 4 spots available and we still need 1 OL, 1-2 DL, 1-2 DBs.

Jang is all in today. I tho agree about Thorne. Hard to judge when there is no one open and the guys miss 2 out of 3 throws.
Biggest concern is he seemed to be really hesitant on some throws almost aiming them. Hopefully with a full yr with 90% reps, our RB’s and decent receivers he’ll be much improved

As long as we can keep him from going into the fetal position like he did against A&M then he will stand back there and sling volume TDs and Ints. That my vision anyways.

Qb while important isn't more important than the talent surrounding him. Look no further than our 2 biggest rivals. McElroy, McCarron and Coker at Alabama and Bennett at UGA have more NC's than NFL starters in Hurts, Tua, Young and Brown from Alabama and Stafford from UGA.

Because he lit it up for two years at Michigan State could mean he's only half successful. Not saying we need an all star transfer; however Thorne didn't appear to respond that well to in-house pressure at State and surely not when push by Robbie And with limited backup we could be in for a lack luster season with only a two week injury. So, I'm guessing at least an equal talent that fit's the system.

I think Thorne gets it done next year. If we get better WR play, that's an improvement right there to make him better

Rodgers going pro is a huge loss for us. You could make an argument that he was the most important defender to have return. The DL got WAY better when he got put into the starting line up. We still have Jayson Jones, but he's a back up level player. Feel like we need 2 starting DT transfers now. Man it sucks Rodgers isn't coming back.
Edit- Just saw where Jason Caldwell said he accepted the invite, but hasn't made a decision yet.

I wouldn't trust another fanbase about why guys are transferring. ALOT of times they behave like a jilted ex In situations involving player movement. Lol We're not exempt
